Do you think the two biggest names in sports Tyson Fury and Mcgregor could team up,

Wrong forum and both Wilder and Joshua would wax his ass.

You saw McGregor stopping guys left and right then you saw Mayweather eat a clean uppercut on the chin and he didn't even step backwards.

An MMA fighter practices 2000 punches, 2000 kicks, 2000 TDs and 2000 sprawls.

During that same time span the boxer has practiced 8000 punches.

So your answer is no.

Fury is basically the boxing analog to Jon Jones. Total waste of talent.

Probably not.

But the main difference is that boxers can throw more power, more consistently, while maintaining proper form and positioning.

When an mma fighter throws a big shot it tends to look like he is really loading up, often sacrificing their defense and form in hopes of landing a knockout blow.

Boxers tend to generate that type of power with less effort, which is why they excel in professional boxing. Punching power can be trained, but in large part it's a natural thing that is somewhat of a prerequisite to being a top level boxer.

Even a feather fisted guy like Paulie Malignaggi was capable of really hurting guys.
I think the biggest reasons why MMA fighters have subpar striking is:
1. They can't spend as much time training punching because they have to train other things
2. Many come from grappling backgrounds so they have to pick up striking later in life
3. You can't punch like a boxer in MMA due to kicks and takedowns.

lol, this is your second Tyson Fury thread in a row. Relax with the man-crush.

This is the real reason. Put a pure boxer into a kickboxing match and he'll you'll see a TKO via leg kicks.
Everything you've ever learned about distance is completely wrong the second you add in kicks.
