Ortega has a solid chin, great cardio, good stand-up, excellent submission, and is a big fighter at 145. He's pretty much a nightmarish match-up for Conor.

Do you think Conor can beat Brian Ortega in a 5-round fight?

The only way he would go 5 rounds with Conor is if they fought 5 times

Conor probably couldn't even shoot 5 rounds let alone go that with a "high pressure" Ortega (at 145). Nate wasn't "high pressure" the entire time against Conor. (somewhat because of his chin). Ortega's chin has been granite thus far. (even though that will also eventually fail). Ortegas grappling game (standing or on the ground) would eventually suck the life out of Conor. (Rd 4 sub for Ortega)

I'm speaking of TODAYS Conor, by the way.

Assuming he can make 145 still, Conor wins easily.

Ortega is an amazing grappler but he isn't taking Conor down, and the skill gap on the feet is way too much.

He basically has the style of a Diaz brother, but his boxing is nowhere near theirs and he is much smaller.

Ortega is one of my favorite fighters, but I don't see how he beats Conor IF Conor makes 145 without killing him self.

Any idiot who says Ortega should delete their account. He doesnt have the TDD threat or standup to beat Conor.

Fucking :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:s dont know shit, outside of bashing on Conor.

As long as Ortega can take a punch (and so far that's a big check in that column)....I don't see Conor winning .In fact, I see him avoiding Brian like the plague. I never thought I'd say that concerning Conor and an other 145er.

Conor does t have the heart to go 5 rounds.

Outside of rounds 1 and 2, you're asking a lot of him

Conor would absolutely maul Ortega in the striking department and its not even close
Lets not forget Ortega is a jujitsu fighter, not a wrestler

Hard to say because I don't see Conor making 145 and he has one fight at 155. Ortega has 0 fights at 155. There rly isn't much to go on and I don't think either of them have fought similar enough opponents. Maybe a slight edge to Ortega due to solid chin, no known cardio problems, being unpredictable and not even needing a takedown for a sub.

The guys a proven drug cheat and as such tells you all you need to know about him, I still say the UFC should have a zero tolerance policy for these dirty fighters if they are serious about cleaning up the sport.

people sleep on Conor's TDD. Ortega struggles to take him down and gets absolutely battered on the feet. Unless Conor gasses Ortega crumbles to punches, tko victory for Conor.

Ortega's threat comes from his ability to cause scrambles and his unique ability to apply submissions from even the standing position.

there's more than 1 way to skin a cat and there's more than 1 way to beat Conor.
