Ping did more than spit on dudes in that fight.

He also hit Jorge below the belt ON PURPOSE, poked him in the eye ON PURPOSE and kneed Jorge in the head while he was down ON PURPOSE.

I did, what Daley did was bad but he was never remorseful. I don't even think he wants to be back in the UFC. Judging by his fight with Jon Fitch, he wants to be banned that way he can say he's too dangerous for the UFC.

Side discussion: It never gets brought up but Dan (Murgliata) did a terrible job of stopping it before it happened, it was clear that Daley was bitter and going to hit Josh and goofball let it happen.

I support the banning of Daley. The sucker punch was a bush league, low-class, sore loser stunt. Since he was banned, nobody in the UFC has tried that nonsense.

    Doesn't deserve to comeback.

He's not good. He's a kick boxer that fights MMA. No ground game or TDD at all. I have no interest watching a guy that will lose to every single wrestler he faces.

Bisping was fined for that and he didn't spit on anyone, he spat on the floor in front of an absolute cunt in anger, so to reiterate, you can't spell his name after all this time, he didn't spit on anyone, it was borne of some hateful youtube videos that ended up getting his son quite severely bullied at school and included nasty slurs to his wife and her nationality, all of this from someone who is never going to step in the cage and settle it, he was a prick.
So lastly you don't remember correctly.

The point is Conor did much much worse and the footage is used in promos for his next fight.

No, never did. should have just been a lengthy suspension. I can easily think of many worse instances.

I want to say no. At the same time, imagine he clocked Josh with that cheap shot. Hed be looked at like babalu or pahares.

IMO it was deserved at the time.
But as Dana does not really care for anything some fighters do, I don't see why keep this ban...

I supported him getting cut, but the ban seemed a bit much even if it was a monumentally dumb decision by Daley, especially given what others have gotten away with.

At the same time I don't really blame them because Daley has shown zero remorse since and basically said he didn't give a shit if he never fought in the UFC again. If not for all that he might be in he UFC right now for all we know.

Well, the point of the OP is that judgement on such things isn't fair and it's true. Personally I'd rather have Daley back rather Jones who did way more things.

It seemed to me that the ref didn't really know how to handle it.

Your post had an awful lot of hate and no facts, I gave you facts to balance your hate.

You know, I wasn't up in arms even back then about it. I didn't like it, I still don't but things like that happen when the adrenaline is high and I think he was a bit provoked.
Anyway, it's consistency some people, including me, are expecting. Nothing more or less. For me, the incidents we're discussing here are all too old to care about. Especially since nobody was really hurt in any way by them.

I don't think he should be banned anymore. But he needs to work his way back in. And his recent wins and losses don't say he should be back in the UFC.
