Because they know they would look ridiculous.
Thank you for your time, playboi.
You're leaving yourself open for the gif of Silva unsuccessfully clowning against Weidman.
Because a 2018 opponent would shoot a double leg takedown at the :22 mark
Past his prime, everyone knows that. Weidman almost got KTFO by a WW in his last fight. Prime Silva would murder Weidman.
Weidman is a bad matchup for Andy anytime IMO. If anything, the Anderson who clowned Rich would probably do worse than the one at 162, having not yet had the experience with Chael.
Once in a lifetime talent
This is how it would look like if it was prime Silva. And just look how relaxed he looks doing it.
Trainers hate him.
That's Silva 1 year before he fought Chris, so hardly physically different. Silva would probably murder Weidman also if Chris tried to throw a moronic backfist while off balance though.
who the fook cares
You don't think Silva being past his prime had something to do with him having that experience with Chael?
I mean, earlier on Silva took out Dan Henderson in the 2nd round. You think Chael or Weidman are a tougher matchup than Hendo?
Yes. As a matter of fact I do. Hendo is a great greco wrestler, not a freesytle wrestler where Anderson's principal weakness lies. Weidman is an overall technically superior fighter to Hendo as well. I think Weidman is a much harder fight for Anderson at any period. Same with Chael, who, despite being an inferior fighter to both Chris and Hendo, has the right relentless takedown/tenacious top control game to give Anderson serious issues.
Andy is a great fighter, but he's never been a complete fighter.
Is easy to do that when juiced to the grills
not all fighters take steroids.
Let's not forget silva was a boxer, this technique isn't easy to do. Especially in mma, you have to be comfortable being taken down if you do this
And then, an hero appeared
He still have to work on his Matrix, but his groove was spot on
Praise the groove
Weidman is a way worse matchup than Hendo. Keep in mind too, that was a Hendo that just left the ring, just fought at 205 and he completely abandoned his wrestling by then (not to mention all Pride guys stopped using PED's while UFC guys knew how to beat tests - see Josh Barnett on subject) . Hendo was a slow head hunter who was getting rag dolled by Jake Shields at that point in his career, while Chael and Chris never neglected their wrestling and that was always Andy's weak link.
