He could care less about them and the money. This man was raised from a different cloth. He could easily go to Bellator and make money. Plus he has Putin backing him, he has no worries.

He is trying to make a statement and he will. Dem Russians don't play. Proof last Sat.

Probably not. He keeps mentioning that he plans to retire very soon.

sad. I dont want to see Khabib go away during his prime. he still has a few years and he has not taken too much damage in his career.

Given that he wants to fight for legacy, absolutely.

No he doesn't care.
If people really care about who's Khabib just watch "anatomy of a fighter" on YouTube.
(It's quite boring to be honest)

He don't give a flying fook

Doesn't matter to him. He's set for life in Russia, national hero, most famous athlete there now and backed by the most powerful man in the world. The money the ufc gives him won't do shit for him.

What's certain is Kebob cares very much about facing wrestlers, especially now that he ran out of guys with no ground game to cherry pick from.

His dad said he has to face Conor (achieved), Tony, GSP and the current WW champion (assuming Woodley if he stays champion).

Whatever his dad says, Khabib will do it so he won’t retire until he faced these guys.

Couldn't ask for much more than that tbh, it would be perfect. Although Poirier probably deserves a shot as well, should he beat Nate.

It amazes me how clueless people are on basic things such as contracts on Sherdog.

khabib is the boss

guy is unbreakable

alo, a very solid GOAT candidate

I'm no lawyer but as I understand it, Khabib can't go to Bellator because he's contracted to the UFC for whatever number of fights he has left on his contract, and he likely signed a new contract when he won the title which would then also include his PPV points as Champion...and he can't just retire and then come back from that retirement and go to Bellator because the UFC contract is effectively frozen upon his retirement and then unfrozen when he comes back. so if he retires with say 3 fights left on his contract and then comes out of retirement 2 years later, he owes the UFC 3 fights before he can fight for another organisation.

Khabib can only fight in the US and anywhere else that recognises the State Athletic Commisions under the UFC...He can fight in Russia or Japan, but he would face a pretty destructive court battle for breach of contract and he would never be licenced to fight in the US again.

Good luck going to bellator with that ironclad UFC contract. The real power in this world is lawyers and lawmakers.

If he ends up wanting to leave because of this they just might cut him. He seems stubborn enough and has enough money to sue his way out of it. If he can sue his way out of a contract for something like violation of the 13th amendment for the champion claus, it could end up setting a precedent that would allow other fighters to go fight somewhere else more easily. The UFC probably doesn't want that, so, easier to just cut ties.

You mean what randy tried and absolutely failed at? Everyone who has attempted to sue over the UFC contract has lost.
