he has like 40 fights
imho his best days are over
but this wont be the underdogs fight either.
Chris cries watching shitty tv shows
Plus that was a Mousasi coming off 2 back to back mcl tears and 1st fight back at 185 in a very long time .He fought timid and still outstruck- machida 66-37..
2 different situations like we see all the time when guys fight the same guy on their ledger in this sport
Weidman vs Romero was 1-1 heading into the third. He was fighting good, just got caught. Slight exaggeration.
Rockhold vs Weidman. He won the first round, lost the second and was winning the third with some nice body kicks then tried spinning kick and that was all she wrote.
and is now a regular sized MW. Weidman & Romero are the big boys at MW, with Luke closely behind.
So he wasn't winning those fights.
Rockhold fight he was winning.
I completely agree with this. He is in his physical prime, remotivated, and USADA is in the game. I can see him being champ. Yoel is IMO the stiffest test for anybody in MW. Outside of him, I don't see Moose having that many challenges.
We will see. I think Weidman is an excellent measuring sick to see if Moose is a contender.
Of course he should be the underdog. The guy is on a brutal two streak loss. Don't you remember he got beat up to death on the ground vs Luke and then kneed to high heaven against Yoel. That shit messes your confidence up.
i like the matchup
rooting for mousassi
So thats why rockhold looked noticably bigger than weidman in their fight huh?
Im sure its the IV ban alright.
Dont see it happening myself, im never too zoomed in on Mousasi, from all the fights I seen he never made too much of an impression on me.
My opinion is based on seeing pretty much all of Weidmans fights up close especially the recent ones, its a stretch to say he was winning against Yoel or Luke at any stage tbh, they were close before he got destroyed.
Interesting thread TS, this fight intrigues me and I asked the same question.
I may still bet on Mous here.
dont count weidman out.hes got big power in punches in kick and punches and wrestling to wear you out
he's lean and tall. Weidman has a heavy build. bigger head, bigger bones.
Hes barely 185 since usada/iv ban. Hasnt looked huge at all lately
though chis is on a losing streak, and mous is on a win streak, and i like mous more....
skill for skill weidman is better, and should win. especially by wrestling
