Do people really think that Brock Lesnar would've been an easy fight for Fedor?

Fedor's aggressive wild swinging just might make Brock initiate turtle mode before even getting hit.

Because he got the biggest paycheck of his life from fighting Fedor in Affliction. He then took a year off and gained a lot of weight.

Sylvia and Mercer was also supposed to be a boxing match but it was not sanctioned and it was changed to an MMA fight last minute.
There was a "gentleman's agreement" that no kicks were to be thrown, but Sylvia made it clear he was having none of that when a threw a kick in the opening seconds.

He wanted to win that MMA fight by any means necessary, and still got starched in 9 seconds lol. Ray's performance was a lot quicker and more impressive than Fedor's, and he wasn't even a good boxer by that stage. He was old and fat as fuck

I know that PRIDE shills think 17-14 Fujita is a good fighter because he scored a fluke victory over an unmotivated Mark Kerr

Wanderlei Silva has been beaten up on the ground by guys who aren't even grapplers, like Hunt and Cro Cop

Lesnar is 10X the grappler and G&P artist that those guys are

Lol at "PRIDE shills." Can't be a shill for something that is dead. You are obviously a UFC shill. You obviously didn't watch PRIDE when it was around. Cro Cop had deadly GNP and Wand still didn't get finished on the ground. He got finished by a standing LHK. Brock is obviously a better wrestler than CC or Hunt but he doesn't hit even 10% as hard as those guys.

Fujita was an elite wrestler with an iron chin and big power. Yes, he was a good fighter. He had more skills than most of today's HWs like Francis Nogroundgameou for example.

"A lot quicker and more impressive than Fedor's performance." Lol. Fedor won in 36 seconds. He also dropped Tim with punches and then choked him out. It was an embarrassing loss for Tim to lose to Ray but Ray was a world class boxer and landed a good shot. Everyone loses. Even great fighters. Nobody is undefeated forever.

Ray was not a world class boxer when he fought Tim lmao

Hadn't boxed in a while and lost to a complete can named Derric Rossy

It's just that a guy who's shit and washed up by boxing standards was probably the best boxer in MMA, shows you the state of the HW division when Fedor "ruled" it

He was obviously past his prime but he still had better hands than 99% of the world and better than anyone in MMA. You think he lost his ability to land a good punch?

Fights can play out so many different ways. Who knows lol. I can definitely envision a scenario where prime Fedor gets Mir'd for taking Brock's bruteness a little too casually at the wrong moment and getting pummeled. never know

Next TS´s thread: Mir/Handy would have mauled Fedor, had he joined the UFC back then...

Prime Lesnar? Fuck no. Look what he did to Mir... twice. 1-1 but still. That was prime Mir. Yes, for about a year and change Lesnar might not have been the baddest man alive, but people thought he was. I did.

Brock would have fucked Fedor up wo bad the internet would shut down permanently from the sodium levels.

lesnar would kill him if he got top control. depends if fedor could catch him standing

Never liked fedor I think he is overhyped but I don't think brock would've been that much of a threat to him.

Brocks takedowns aren't very good and his striking isn't great.

Seems that many posters on this forum share that opinion, especially Fedor fans

However they never seem to be able to support such opinions and statements with facts or logical explanations

The truth is that Bigfoot exposed one of Fedor's primary weaknesses, which is that he was far too comfortable being on his back. Prime Fedor got taken down by an old Coleman and Hong Man Choi, but was able to beat them because neither of them knew how to defend a simple armbar from guard.

Lesnar is a far superior wrestler and athlete than the likes of Hong Man Choi, so he would've taken Fedor down easily and punched his head into the canvas. Same thing happens to Nog and Mirko.

Bigfoot is a vastly inferior fighter to Lesnar, and Fedor got mounted and completely destroyed by him on the ground while also being unable to hurt him on the feet, something which many people have done.

For reference, DC slept Bigfoot in less than 4 minutes in Bigfoot's very next fight, and Cain humiliated TRT Bigfoot in a matter of minutes TWICE

Lesnar also has a far better chin than Bigfoot or even Fedor himself, it's just that he didn't like getting hit. Fedor landing a punch in the 1st 30 seconds and flurrying on Brock for a TKO is his ONLY path to victory, but even that was highly unlikely because Lesnar wouldn't jump at him with his chin up like Andrei did.

Also I wouldn't be surprised if Brock was able to hurt Fedor on the feet, considering that pro wrestler Fujita was able to do the same. Brock has legit power on the feet, as evidenced by him dropping and finishing Randy.

Cain destroyed Bigfoot while Fedor got destroyed by him

DC also did the same thing to Bigfoot. Bigfoot's best win is over a roidless Reem who got KTFO in his next two fights lmao

Fedor is not even close to Cain in terms of skill level, he was a wild brawler who relied on his speed

Fedor couldn't even KO chinny Bigfoot even when he hit him cleanly multiple times

Lesnar has a far better chin than Bigfoot

Carwin hits 100X harder than Fedor

Because he'd never faced a good fighter with power before

He got flatlined by DC in his next fight with a few punches, while Fedor hit him cleanly a lot of times and couldn't do shit to Silva

He didn't even get rocked once against Fedor

Just stop lmao, Fedor's power has never been anything special. DC's power isn't eye popping either and he starched Bigfoot with the first couple of punches he landed

Lol Fedor is the brawler with no proper punching technique

Never seen anyone at the top level wing as many wild punches with their chin up like him

Just imagine Ngannou, Carwin, Ubereem or anyone that's not a pro wrestler with a .500 record landing THAT punch

Fedor might've literally died

Cro Cop has a losing record in the UFC lol

Sylvia got flatlined even faster by a 50 year old washed up boxer, and Arlovski made a silly mistake and gave the fight away. He was boxing Fedor up before that

I know that PRIDE shills think 17-14 Fujita is a good fighter because he scored a fluke victory over an unmotivated Mark Kerr

Mir has a lazy style of jiu jitsu. he doesn't use his strength, he always tries to use technique.

Fedor possesses incredible explosiveness in his hips, PRIME Fedor would've been way harder to contain on the ground than Mir.

Lesnar was terrified of Overeem's strikes. How would he act after getting a taste of Fedors power?

Ubereem was way more powerful than Fedor, had better TDD, and far superior striking technique

Gtfo, Ubereem would decapitate Prime Fedor with one arm tied around his back

Nope. Everyone that fights Fedor says he has bricks in his hands. Brock would cower.

How many Olympic wrestlers has Overeem beat? Fedor has beat a few, and Olympic Judokas. To think that Brock had a chance against him is delusional.

I can tell you didn't watch Fedor in his prime. GSP made you an MMA fan. Your ignorance is obvious.

Edit: Before Bigfoot had his tumor removed he was considered by most to be the future of the HW division. Since the tumor that gave him gigantism was removed he's declined a lot. Fedor fought him not long after the tumor was removed. Fedor was passed his prime at that point also, and had turned into a brawler to impress the American crowds, that shit on him for not finishing Nog or Mirko. Americans valued fast finishes, that's why he changed his style.

Prime Fedor vs Prime Overeem... it's obvious who would win, to anyone that's followed the sport since those two arrived in Pride.
