Khabib has been doing judo since he was 5 years old. You know he understands the submission game just fine because he's never been put into a position where he was even once worried about being submitted... Conor can't say the same thing. Even fights Conor has won, like Mendes, he was threatened on the ground by submission attempts... Khabib has never once been threatened despite his fights being predominantly happening on the ground. That tells you all you need to know about their varying levels of submission grappling technique right there.
This is exactly right. Going for submissions often risks giving up position. Khabib knows what he is doing and has an undefeated record to prove it.
Conor is competent on the ground, but has been submitted 3 times. Albeit two were a long time ago, but it is just delusional to argue he is better than khabib at grappling.
