Did Chris Weidman actually ever beat anyone in their prime as a champion?

It's irrelevant. He beat whoever he beat when they were put in front of him.

It's not like he could jump into a time machines and fight (say) Anderson Silva 5 years before he did

It's also funny when people say guys that look like this:

Or Vitor and his vastly higher testosterone level compared to Weidman, are old and decrepit.
Keep that narrative flowing boys.

This, Lyoto was at his best at MW during that run, haters are making up shit now to hate on Weidman. Sad people.

Vitor was so out of prime is not evwn funny you could tell early.

Remember vitors spining heel kick? Comparw with weidmans spinning heel kick.

Its not on weidman who his opponents were but he was never really that god; i dont think he ever was the best in the world.

There were guyd like mousasi, luke and romero around the corner waiting and when he fouhht them they all kicked his ass handily.

Weidman was by all accounts a paper champion even though he took the title from silvA

the chris has looked as bad as the Brazilians since usada came into the picture tho

Barely scratching Yoel in the first then losing the second until brain damage.
Getting rocked and beat up in the 2nd by Moose until he pussied out due perfectly legal knees.

That’s because he’s a 1st round fighter who dominates the opening 5 minutes.
He has nothing special after that.

Anderson fought Weidman before USADA, was on roids against Diaz and still looked like shit

Was on roids vs Weidman, still got whooped. Fucked up his cycle due to getting busted by Usada vs Diaz. Sure coming back after getting completely wrecked twice had something to do with it too. Also, he just isnt all that great when guys arent throwing over hands and chasing after him.

Prime Anderson was 2006-whenever he fought Forest

He was still able to get wins but everyone was wondering when age would catch up to him. He seemed human against the mediocre chael sonnen

Anyone of you bro’s or bruhs that think Anderson was in his prime against the Chris need to make sure your fitted cap isn’t on too tight and damaging your brain
Thank you

You're acting like being on roids extends a fighter's prime indefinitely. Unfortunately it doesn't especially for a fighter that relies on quickness and reflexes more than raw power and aggression.

Silva was in his prime until Weidman was in his prime.

Nah... You could make an argument for Silva but no way was that prime TRTor or Chida.

Weidmans victories over Anderson,Machida and Vitor are all impressive. Shut your fucking whore mouth, just cos your angry Anderson eventually had to lose.

his best win was against Machida. Granted Machida probably wasnt the best Machida we've ever seen at that point he was still very good and fighting at a high level and that is the one fight that made me think Weidman was for real to be honest.

Winning all rounds before illegal strikes and a Hail Mary
Winning is winning in this game son

Anderson was the champ there is no way anyone with more than 2 brain cells thinks he wasn't in his prime.

You are acting luke Silva was a feeble old man. He wasn't. He was a juiced athlete. You saying he slowed down is just your opinion. Do you have anything to factually say he has? Did you time his strikes? How much slower are they vs Wiedman than they were in his "prime"?

And if so then slowing down is slowing down and again Hendo slowing down would effect his game just as much. If he can't throw the H bomb as fast he can't connect with it. Or how about how Hendo had to abandon his wrestling because his body had been getting torn up? Could hardly even turn his head, knee problems, etc.

I'm just curious because Anderson Silva was gettinng old, so was Lyoto, definitely post-TRT Vitor...

Discuss.
IMO both Silva and Machida were *barely* past their prime - still very solid.
