Diaz vs Woodley... Terrible fight to make, but might be more competitive than you think.

Now, I agree with you that this is a terrible fight to make. It makes absolutely no sense from a #1 contender perspective. But just by looking at Nate's performance vs Rory, you can tell that he could give Tyron some fits with the striking.

Most people only remember the last round where Rory was ragdolling and suplexing him 3x in a row like a small child. But if you go and actuslly watch the first two rounds, you would see that up until the 3rd it was a fairly competitive fight. And Rory was not able to finish Nate.

Now, that was Rory, who has excellent cardio and pretty good MMA striking. He is also a lanky dude himself, which made it easier to deal with Nate' s reach.

Woodley is shorter and has much lesser technical striking than Rory. He is also susceptible to tiring out in the later rounds, especially with the pace that Nate Diaz brings. He has a massive overhand, but Nate can take a shot and is great at recovering.

On the other hand, Tyron is a powerful wrestler and Nate has shown to be weak against wrestlers in the past. I don't think there's anyway his TDD will be up to par to stop a Tyron Woodley double leg.

I think that Woodley wins this fight via takedowns and GNP, but don't entirely count Diaz out.

Mark my words, he will give Tyron problems for as long as this fight stays on the feet.

    His performance vs Rory?

Where it looked like child vs man?

I used to say that about Woodley too, but he's got a lot better at managing his energy.

I wish Nate would beat him but Woodley is figuratively speaking his kryptonite.

If Tyron don’t get the takedown then Nate will piece him up and clown him against the cage. Mark my words

Lol did you actually watch that fight? The first 2 rounds? Or did you just see the gifs on sherdog?

And did you even read my thread or do you just get hyped off one word then try to make a snarky remark to get a lot of likes? Clearly not, because I addressed exactly what you posted in that gif, making it asinine in this thread.

Do you even really like MMA, or do you just like trolling teh interwebbz?

    Woodley is a skillful fighter.
    Very skillful one.

But he hates being pressured. And Diaz bros ARE the pressure.

So the right answer would be:

Bro If I were trolling you wouldn't even know.

It's just not the right fight, Nate fades too when hes getting wrestle fucked. I've also underestimated Woodley too many times now.

If youre not trolling then you have very poor reading comprehension.

    Try again. Read it sloooowly.

Put your finger underneath each word as you're reading it so you don't lose track of where you are.

I know it's hard, but I believe in you.

Naw, I think even in the streetfight that Diaz will turn this into Tyron will win.

He's gonna be too strong, fast, and skilled for Nate, plus people act like Woodley only has the cardio to throw three punches then he will keel over. His cardio isn't THAT bad....

He will not give Woodley problems, Wonderboy didn't give him any on the feet, Nates boxing will not at all. Woodley will leg kick him raw (underrated inside kicks) and take him down at will.

And this thread basically says "Every fighter has a chance", well good for you for figuring that out bro, must of taken you all night to come up with it.

Lol he set the record for least strikes thrown in an MMA fight ever his last fight so I don't know about that...

Maybe he can throw about 8 or 9 without keeling over.

Nate lost to 21 years old Rory, the Rory that won against Woodley was a completely different beast.
Good thing Nate improved too and he is bigger these days, but still Woodley should ragdoll him as he please.

I think it would be a blowout massacre.

Hopefully we never find out, though. What an awful fight.

Wonderboy doesn't usually bring a high pace to fights and use it to break his opponents.

That's not his game. He is a counter striker, not a pressure fighter.

He gave Woodley way too much space.

Diaz on the other hand is a serious pressure fighter who throws more volume than anyone and is pretty damn accurate.

We'll see what happens when and if it goes down. Hopefully it wont.

Nate will stop zero takedowns, and tyron will knock him stiff if he decides to throw instead of just stare. He might kick the shit out of Nate's leg too

Woodley would chop him down and take him down at will.

I just don't see it man. I like Nate just as much as the next guy, but I don't think he has much for Tyron.

He gonna throw 3 or 4 1-2 combos then he's gonna get his bell rung. And its gonna happen like that several times. And that's if Woodley doesn't kick Nates lead leg off or take him down and pound him out. Nate will need every bit of durability that he has to survive this one imo.

"But just by looking at Nate's performance vs Rory, you can tell that he could give Tyron some fits with the striking."

Your OP is all about wrong MMA math based on older fights that have no relevance these days.

Its 5 rounds. Tyron better finish quick before he gasses and Nate takes over. Just one problem only 1 person ever finished nate.

This fight will depend on ref more than many because it will get ugly for Nate until Tyron can't beat him up anymore.

I wouldnt put money on it. Seems even more I've thought about it though.

There is no MMAth anywhere here.

There's not even any MMAth to apply, since Rory beat both of them.

    Where's the MMAth?
