Deontay Wilder would be top 5 heavyweight if he moved to UFC right now

technically his boxing is pretty terrible, he has huge power but so do almost all top HW's

every top 10 HW would just take him down and GnP him

Blaydes did take him down once but Ngannou popped right back up. This fight if I remember correctly only lasted 1 round bc blaydes eye closed up and they stopped the fight. If the fight had went into the 2nd round, blaydes would of taken ngannou down at will and wrestlefucked him.

UFC would need to open up their checkbook. He got 2.1 million to show against Ortiz and that will probably be closer to 5 mil against Joshua

lol Blaydes isnt an elite college wrestler. He is good, but not elite.

Regardless, Blaydes took that fight on short notice and it was his first fight in the UFC, and it was a doctor stoppage, not him getting beat.

Of course Wilder would have a punchers chance, how do you know how he would respond to leg kicks? Smaller gloves? How would his cardio be grappling?

You can't say that with 100% certainty just because he is a good boxer he would make a great MMA fighter.

If he stopped boxing and trained MMA for a year straight I would consider the possibility.

everything you posted is incorrect, but you have an anime AV, so you probably don't spend much time watching boxing

ngannou is wilder but less athletic and less power. It took ngannou only two years to make it to the UFC with his prior experience limited to an average amateur boxer

So you think Wilder right now could just step in without any MMA experience or training whatsoever? Are you serious?

Why are you only mentioning strikers? Of course they aren't going for takedowns, but if they did, they would succeed. Have him fight Cain or Stipe and he gets torched. He'd struggle against anyone who tried a takedown, including strikers.

Shit thread by a shit poster.

You realize these guys are competing against MMA fighters? McGregor has shit wrestling but if he fought Mayweather he would look like Cael Sanderson.

Wilder ducked Klitschko. Didn't fight Fury. Didn't fight Povetkin. Didn't fight Haye. Kubrat Pulev would probably be the best name on his resume if they fought. There are plenty of Heavyweights better than Ortiz.

Cain is injured, if he fought stipe he would be fighting for the title which would be pretty impressive

he's clearly a specimen. but if he "came over to the ufc right now", he'd eat leg kicks all day or end up on his back getting smashed to pieces by elbows.

Fight went 2 rounds, doc stoppage going into the 3rd. Probably Blaydes would've lost anyway, Ngannou wasn't gassed as he was in Stipe fight
I wouldn't be surprised if this idiot D1 wrestler was Charlie Z

Stupid thread. If he moved to UFC now he loses to Overeem and Werdum by SUB, Cain and Blaydes mauls him in the ground and maybe he'd be able to beat Ngannou, that's the only 1, but there's guys outside the top 5 like Volkov and Tybura who could submit him too.

Povetkin and Ortiz first popped for PED's, Fury popped for coke, Klitschko retired, LOL @ David Haye

overeem's chin is absolute glass, even a glancing blow by wilder would KO him. If he fought Werdum that would mean he is top 5

He moves like bambi on ice and would get his front leg snapped by anyone with a decent kicking game. Nonetheless imagine Jones vs Wilder. Hell of a fight.

Volkov is not top 5, neither is Tybura.
Overeem avoided Ngannou hard shots and got into the clinch with him in the first 1 minute of their fight, he'd be able to clinch Wilder and take him down in 30 seconds if the fight was tomorrow.

No doubt. Overeem would grapple fuck Wilder - no doubt in my mind.

Or he would just leg kick the shit out of him until he quit.

Wilder is a complete one trick pony in MMA if you throw him in right away. He is James Toney.
