Hmm. Can you post a link on that Jack? I get the NRA feed on my Facebook, and I have yet to see anything that looks like a call to use violence to silence dissent. Of course, it may just be my feed not picking up on those.

    That wasn't too difficult.

I'm a gun owner myself, and I'm not a member nor do I agree with them on a lot of past issues -but I do understand why they're necessary.

You are equating fascism with elements of socialism as being a pure form of socialism.

If this is your definition of socialism, then America is socialist too, and just about every country in the world, for that matter, because I'll bet you can't name one that doesn't have some socialistic elements to them.

Just because a Ferrari and a Honda both have tires, doesn't make them the same car.

Only a comic book reading fantasist thinks they would stand a chance against government troops with a Walmart purchased pea shooter.

The targeted assassination of a government official on the other hand...

From an economical standpoint, what about socialism failed the Third Reich that isn't confined to their war/genocide efforts?

I disagree with this point of view regarding the video.

The message was purposefully intense to make a point. Nothing more.

I don't always agree with Dana's antics or her comments on the topic of the day, but blatant bias is obvious on both sides and it's very easy to infer incorrectly on this and many other NRA-backed takes.

Of course it was intended to illicit a response. Just like it was intended to make a point.

I don't care what Jack did . . . I simply point out that I'm not the only poster who used the transcript.

I've already told you why I posted it . . . was that answer not good enough for you?

I'm not pretending about anything . . . you are free to respond to this however you like. Just like those of us who disagree are free to tell you we think you're wrong.

The NRA is a terrorist organization in one sense: their entire purpose is to keep gun owners terrified that their gun rights will be taken away... so they will buy more guns. Literally, my entire adult life, not a single year has gone by when the NRA weren't beating the drum that guns were about to be taken away. Now here we are 30 years laters and there are more than 300,000,000 guns in the US... and the NRA is still telling people that the 2nd Ammendment is under attack. Lol.

You were hiding behind the transcript. You don't have to admit it, it's obvious.

Sure. That point being that liberals are evil monsters who should be feared and maybe killed.

Ok those I didn't see those when I posted. Yea, I can agree that those are approaching a line that should not be crossed. Sadly listening to them, its the kind of thing could drive a mentally unstable person to do something tragic, and the NRA would catch the blame. Rightfully so.

All of a sudden, the left is worried about violent imagery and rhetoric.
    How precious.

It makes it difficult for me to even want to purchase a firearm knowing it's going to the manufacturers that are funding them. The NRA is no different than the military complex profiteers who stoke Islamophobia just to encourage popular support for mass murder.

Yes Jack. That's one way to see it . . . doesn't mean you're correct.

But I'm sure you'll blame the NRA for whatever happened in Charlottesville . . .

I don't have to admit it because it isn't true . . . but whatever makes you feel bigger and better.

So funding manufacturers is ok but funding manufacturers who promote manufacturing is bad?

Your last sentence is hard to make sense of.

Have you ever purchased a gun? Money changes several times before it gets to the actual manufacturer, and I'm sure if you looked at the financials of the larger corporations you could see just how much they give to the NRA and similar organizations. Just as you could check out the NRA's books to see how much is from members vs. business or manufacturers.

Do you ever think twice about buying another product based on who makes it and what group they might support or donate to?

Funding manufacturers who promote violence for profit is bad, yes.

    I don't know what you don't understand.
