Deconstructing MMA Myths... [Part 13.1] - Khabib´s Eastern European Career

Nice breakdown. Thanks. Worth the read.

Seriously though. Good breakdown. It's amazing that undefeated guys have this aura around them because on paper they have no losses even though if you really followed their career they should have losses. Floyd Mayweather for example. Lost to Castillo the first time and there's no real argument and most people didn't even see it or know about it.

floyd whooped castillo in the rematch, which proves he won the first fight..it layed it to rest...

An East Euro local scene 'can' is equivalent to a mid tier North American or a lower-upper tier Brazilian, anyway

2/ vs. Magomed Magomedov :

Magomedov was 3-6 btw 2003 & 2014.
But...A striker [kickboxer] with legit submission arsenal: interesting skillset, reminds me a lil bit of a [less complete] Amar Suloev.
Unfortunately, obviously didnt get the right opportunities during his career.
what Magomed Magomedov is that? it kind of like

There's the Kickboxer Magomed Magomedov that fought JWP, Nathan Corbett x2, Kaoklai, Gokhan Saki, Stefan Leko, Zabit Samedov, and alot more good fighters but he was fighting up at alot higher then LW or WW

What lololol? That's like saying Jacare whooped Mousasi in the rematch so the first one didn't matter. What kind of bullshit are you spewing?

So basically his past opponents are average out to a bit better than Artem.
Those were his first opponents. The ufc ones arent on that list.
Not defending him but fighting average lobovs at the beginning of your career doesnt seem a bad start...

floyd won their 1st fight...it might have been slightly controversial, but floyd did win...by dominating the rematch, he proved winning the 1st was no fluke..and proved that castillo giving him such a tough fight was also a fluke.

That's not how it works. And for the record Mousasi KOd Jacare with a highly unlikely upkick which you could call a fluke and got dominated in the rematch which using your logic proves the first fight doesn't count.

True, only one thing : Mousasi trains(ed) these upkicks, no fluke there, he knows his shit.

I agree. I'm just using the same logic he applied to Mayweather Castillo 1 that in a rematch the better fighter can prove the first fight doesn't count. That's insane.
