Max Holloway and Nate Diaz are known as 2 of the biggest cardio freaks in MMA

Yet Conor decisioned BOTH quite easily

SHUT OUT Holloway 3-0, and won a very clear cut non-debatable 3-2 over Nate

OyJonFe_d.webp

Conor even threw more and out landed Nate in round 4, the championship rounds

Conor out threw Nate 85 to 71, PLUS out-landed Nate in sig strikes 26 to 14, in round 4, supposedly after having lost round 3 "clearly"

How does Conor have bad cardio yet he out-hustled and out-paced a Diaz brother in round 4 of the championship rounds?

Does Nate have bad cardio, or is Conor's cardio under rated? You have to pick one

Watch the round by round highlights here:
*You will see the fight really wasn't that close at all. Conor destroyed Nate for every second of the fight, minus the last minutes of round 2 and 3

-Someone with bad cardio doesnt out-decision 2 cardio freaks

Fun fact: Conor has NEVER ever lost a decision on score cards

-Somebody with bad cardio doesnt dominate a much larger Diaz brother at a higher weight class, in the championship rounds, and win the 5 round decision

-Someone with bad cardio doesnt go 10 rounds in his very first boxing match against an all time great boxer who's also known for exceptional cardio

So why do some then continually run with the myth that Conor has bad cardio? Because he lost the first fight to Nate on short notice while having staph infection?

The only thing more annoying then the myth that Conor has bad cardio, is the myth that Conor "get hits or has bad defense"

Conor was dodging, slipping punches, and landing counters against Floyd freaking Mayweather in a boxing match. There isnt anyone in MMA whos even a fraction close to Conor's defensive skill, boxing skill, footwork, and counter punching skill

The ONLY time Conor has even been hit with a big clean shot in MMA was Diaz 1. That fight was a rare extreme anomaly that likely wouldnt ever happen again if they fought 20 more times. The rematch proved it. It was a much smaller Conor who was scoring knockdowns on Nate and who was winning the championship rounds and who won the decision. Lets not forget, at 155 Nate's massive size advantages matter much less. A dehydrated Nate with a weakened chin doesnt last 2 rounds with Conor at 155. Especially where at 155 Conor has even more exceptional cardio. Which reminds me, why do people ignore that Conor was fighting way above his weight at WW, that 155 is much more natural to Conor?

Anyone else find the myth about Conor's cardio annoying? What other anti-Conor/hater myths about Conor do you find annoying? It seems some people allow their hatred to completely blind them to the reality that Conor is an exceptional next level fighter. Its complete denial. It's kind of sad. Dislike Conor the person all you want (Conor is actually very humble and great to fans. You're simply being mislead or ignorant ) but be objective about his skills and how brilliant of a fighter he actually is.

Personality Disorder is a real thing.

What other myths about Conor do you find annoying?
Probably that every win he had was a fluke. People need to accept that even though they dislike him, he beat most people he faced fair and square.

Also the "he only has a left hand" thing.

TL;DR: He does, he got exhausted inside 2 rounds against Nate, twice, then got exhausted against Floyd and got TKO'd.

Could it be that he has better cardio at 145? which is weird considering the big cut, but he managed to go 3 rounds against Max, not today's FW champion Max, but still Holloway.

A “much larger Diaz” indeed...

Nate Diaz is a journeyman and a win over his overrated ass proves nothing

Decisioned quite easily? He was about to die.

Gassed out in Mendes fight
Gassed out in first Nate Diaz fight
Gassed out in 2nd Diaz fight
Gassed out in Mayweather fight

Basically gassed out in last 4 out of 6 fights. The two fights in which he didnt, only lasted 13 secs and a round and a half.

He has the shittiest cardio at FW and LW. PERIOD and it's not even debatable.

ProRETARD.

A 145er who gassed after one round has bad cardio....most heavyweights don't even get that tired. The guy has suspect cardio, he has gassed numerous amount of time in fights.

Your fascination with Conor is always disturbing.

Not worth the argument. Too many people incapable of making distinctions beyond good or bad.

Man, we should bring up the threads started by this clown's past accounts which had Conor having an answer for everything that Floyd could possibly do in a boxing ring.

It doesn't mean he's a bad fighter, TS. Everyone's got a weakness. While I wouldn't classify his cardio as "bad", I would rate it something like 5/10.

He can keep pace when he chooses to pace himself, but he can exhaust himself when he overuses his admittedly considerable power.

ps

It doesn't matter who wins between Khabib and Tony, the winner is gonna get it from Conor. Conor is a bad bad match up for both.

Tony gets sloppy and has gaping defensive errors that are asking to be exploited by Conor's slick defensive based counter punching

- Tony leads with uppercuts. A big no no.

- Tony often steps in or leads upright, too tall, chin high up. That's a countering collision disaster waiting to happen against Conor

- Tony is constantly stepping off balance and or out of position. An even bigger no no vs Conor.

-You will see Tony constantly crossing his feet or getting caught napping in between steps - or in between shifting i.e stance changes as his feet are parallel and he has NO base etc.

- Tony constantly gets countered when low kicking

If you are expecting Tony to simply "weather the storm" and simply out last Conor, you are sorely mistaken. Conor has never lost a decision and out lasted a Diaz brother who has way better cardio then Tony and is way more durable then Tony

I love how clueless people also think that Tony will just be able to take all that damage from Conor in the early rounds and not be effected as the fight goes on and the damage is adding up

Tony getting counter fucked by Conor is a sure bet, based on all the footage. The writing is on the wall

Now here is why Conor is also a bad natch up for Khabib

Conor has revolutionized takedown defense for counter punchers in MMA

On top of his footwork and countering, Conor will constantly cross face/forearm, and stiff arm wrestlers who managed to close the distance in order to prevent them from being able to clinch or wrap Conor up.

This is why Conor is hardly ever susceptible to fients or takedown fients to strikes. Conor doesnt rely on vision, he relies on touch and what he feels. He posts his lead hand and can always get a read on their true intentions. Conor will counter as they attempt to close distance, or he will forearm/stiff arm, control, prevent any clinches, and off the control land his own shots.

Khabib is a chain wrestler who needs to close distance and get a hold of you

Wrestlers who need to close the distance are tailor made to get fucked by Conor

Khabib is going to have a very difficult time even getting close to Conor, let alone wrapping Conor up, with Conor's sophisticated lead hand game and forearm/stiff arming measures etc

Furthermore, Khabib is vulnerable to southpaws and seems to have NO idea on how to step or move against southpaws. Khabib seems to have NO idea about angles or feet positioning awareness.

Conor is simply all wrong for Khabib. There's no where Khabib isn't safe from Conor

And even IF Khabib manages to take Conor down, Khabib has the kind of top game THAT FAVORS Conor too. In that Khabib doesn't typically finish from on top and favors positioning and riding. This gives Conor time to recover/wait into the next round and restart on the feet etc

Both Tony and Khabib are tailor made to get destroyed by Conor. People are going to be shocked. It's going to be horrific KO victories for Conor over both. People still don't realise just how great Conor is. Conor will remind the world once again in September

He looked badly winded in both Diaz fights, and the mayweather fight too which wasn't exactly some high paced war.

would be nice if we could see him fight again... smh
