Its interesting actually cormier was defending his head in the beginning with a high guard that's why he was vulnerable to the body but in the second round Cormier started concentrating on defending his body which left him open to the headkick in the third.

Prime crocop never got outstruck by a lesser stand up fighter ,apart from that flash ko of randleman, and DC is very much behind jones on skills and reach in the standup and still managed to make the fight even until the 3rd round, with DC landing the most significant strikes.

All of those counters Fedor did would make for him getting his knee hyperextended by the "oblique" kick.

one of the reasons was, that ufc rules were completely different than pride and with that, he couldnt use many of his best weapons. just my opinion

DC standup strategy is flailing his arms up and no head movement he would be an easy target for prime fedor.

Prime fedor beats both jones and cormier, probably at the same time. Fedor would walk through any shot either of those guys through on him brett rodgers style and finishes inside 2-3 minutes. I don't even think either of them beats prime igor. Jons doesn't like to get punched, Igor would have swarmed the fuck out of him. Let's see what jon does when someone puts immeadiate pressure on him and punchs him in the face repeatedly.

jones is good because people give him his space, are scared of him. Same sort of auro thing Anderson had for all those years. Look at the size advantage he had on cormier, he was still getting beat up pretty good. he looked like a man vs a fat kid in there. Fedor would smash this guy.
