deadlifts, squats & Compensatory Acceleration Training

Now that velocity tracking devices are becoming affordable, i'm considering it. I don't find speed training with barbell lifts very satisfying unless i can meaningfully tell if i'm moving the bar faster

This video is probably irrelevant, but I'm a fan of Ed Coan.

Check out the 3:06 mark.

how do you implement compensatory acceleration traing in your workout? (https://breakingmuscle.com/fitness/compensatory-acceleration-training-speed-up-your-strength-gains)

As I do 5x5 I was thinking it would be 3 heavy sets and 2 speed lifts

If you're doing 5x5, you probably shouldn't be doing any speed work. In general, speed work should be reserved for individuals that have very solid technique. A good progression for most lifters is to go from repetition to maximal and finally speed work.

So I should try for 1 RM first or how?
