Well the end all be all is a united Earth federation, but i dont think we are ready for that just yet. i could see the US/ EU form some sort of Atlantic federation, but even then still not ready

A few years ago I would have agreed regarding the Atlantic Federation but given the damage of Trump's campaign,Brexit, and the rise of nationalist sentiment in several countries (primarily in the US) I think we're at least a decade away from that even being a possibility for discussion. And that's assuming there are no major events in that time period, be they terrorism, wars, economic issues etc...
