    Let me get this straight.

Dana White, much like many others completely saw this coming with Georges St. Pierre, right?

Everyone with a pair of eyes and half a brain cell could see that Georges fancied a free shot at a lower-level champion for his return fight. He knew that Michael likes to talk and can sell a fight with his mouth, more so than someone like Tyron Woodley. Georges also knew that Michael was the easier option comparing to Woodley, Lawler hence why he didn't come back at 170lbs, as well as Rockhold or Weidman, hence why he didn't come back sooner.

With all that said, Dana claims to have seen the whole "Georges not staying at Middleweight" coming. He saw it coming so far off that he even put verbiage in the contract around a guarantee that Georges needed to stay in the division and defend his title.

    So wait a minute...

He didn't defend, he left the division and dropped the title immediately. He still got paid, probably still had PPV points for the event (which supposedly sold very well), and he has essentially rode into the sunset.

So what on earth was this verbiage in the contract, and what the hell was the point of it unless it stands for something and/or whether you can enforce something off the back of it being violated?

Dana White never fails to disappoint.

GSP came in for an easy fight and then went running, just like he did when strict drug testing came in. Or when he left the MMAAA Union in despair after he got his deal done lmao. Conor was right

GSP made a great career choice. Got everything wanted. Good for him. Nice to see someone else long dicking Dana and Co besides Conor.

There is no way to "force" a fighter to fight, so since both GSP & DW said it was in the contract, it had to be either/both.

That's not even what I'm debating or discussing on this occasion.

I'm more confused at why this guy is in the media crying and whining about Georges not defending. He's trying to play all corporate bully like "oh yeah, I put it in the contract".

You put what in the contract bro lol, he walked away with no defense of the title scott-free!?

Yeah it's way better to win a belt to hold it for a year or more with no plans of defending

The contract was he has to fight at 185 defending the best if he won. But there's no part of the contract that says he can't retire whenever he wants. He pulled a fast one.

    Who knows the amount?
but GSP made a shitload, so even if it was 500k, it was $500k more that UFC made off a million buy fight & only around 8-10% of GSP's take home.
Plus the fact that GSP vacated quickly is a telling sign too

But expect 50 more post not understanding it ;)
