Creative ways to land a new job

I just recently finished a training seminar and got the email ad's of my classmates. I am thinking of sending out my resume to 6-7 of these other yuppies who I am only acquainted with.

What are the chances I get an interview from this? And is there any possibility this backfires on me for some reason?

Enquire, in person, about employment. Then fill the room with handjobs.

Or after applying, follow up by phone within a week, I'd say.

Walk around your neighborhood (1 mile radius) or drive (5 mile radius)

Find a business or organization that is similar to what you have done in the past.

Knock on the door.

Tell them that you are new in town due to your spouse/partner/fiance/gf career. (stable relationship seeking dual incomes)

Hand them your resume.

Ask if they are hiring.

Depends on who you catch from or pitch to.
And if they haven't invited you to the play parties, you're not in yet.

Did anyone offer to help you? If not, it might be random to send your resume (unless you ask one about job leads and they request it, or if you ask one to look at it to offer feedback, and they say yes).

Herr Starr knows how to get the job he wants.

What has worked for me recently, found the position on craigslist, sent in resume then cold called the CEO. Made a verbal pitch to him and he had HR set up Skype interview. Flew me out for face to face interview and I got the job offer.

I have been thinking of sending out email queries like this to those I have met:

I hope you are doing well. In case you are wondering, I got your email ad from the directory given with the certificates from our recent training in (training facility).

I am currently looking for opportunities aside from my own employment right now and would like to inquire if your company is looking to hire a person with my background. As your fellow "graduate" of the (training modules), I think that I have something to offer (your company's) team.

Although some of (company)'s job ads in (jobsite) greatly interest me, I do not think any is a good match for my skills and experience. Is it possible that your HR team would be willing to screen my CV for something I am more suited for, or for future openings?

Thanks for reading this message. Hope to hear from you soon.

Whatcha think?

I knew a guy who walked into an office with a business proposal and basically slammed it on their desk and said this is why you're going to hire me. They did.

I also knew someone who said he'd work for a company for free for a week, then after a week if they liked his work they could hire him, if they didn't they'd part ways with no love lost. After a week they hired him.

This shit works.

I met a women at a conference, and she told me she was the first Disney Specialist for a major Canadian travel agency. She had heard that a lot of big US places had people who specialized in helping people plan their Disney trips. She was a Disney freak, been there like twice a year for 15+ years so knew all the ins and outs.

She created a plan for her position, and the place created the position and hired her.

People still go to Disney? What is wrong with people

Damn, aren't there any creative ways of landing a new job that don't involve talking to people or having skills?

How do I get a company to hire me if they want a person who already has experience?

I want to learn the skills that position offers but don't have experience in it.

Lie on your resume like everyone else does?

Seriously, if you are half-decent you can bullshit your way in and learn as you go.

Depends on which files you're in maybe. If you're in one were you can just straight up to to a place and take with someone who has hiring power, you might as well do that. Only if you're qualified though.

Can I pay a guy/service to get a job? I am not talking about an agency, more like a fixer.

I don't know what your background is but joining Toastmasters is always a good thing. Most people kind of suck at talking in front of people.

You could start by not calling it your "CV". Seriously, you don't sound like your in the line of work where "CV" is used much. Call it your resume. It helps to speak the language.

Walk into their executive office. Tell the receptionist, “The CEO has a blowjob scheduled for right now, only he doesn’t know it.” Suck dick. Profit.

Lemme update.

I applied for a job at 'ABC' company who was hiring a Software Engineer. I have a background in coding but not really a SE.

Turns out 'ABC' is just placement agency for 'XYZ'. 'ABC' wants me to take an examination on different programming languages which I am familiar with but not proficient at. I don't do well in entrance exams for programming languages to begin with, and I have a feeling 'ABC' doesn't really know the actual requirements of a Software Engineer -merely just processing applicants to meet a quota.

Should I even take the exam? I will likely fail it.
