Countering Leandro Lo sweep guard

What are some good ways to counter the Leandro Lo hybrid spider guard where he pulls you forward and the other leg posts on the mat to pull you forward?

Good fucking answer.

In all seriousness though, you better not let anyone good at that guard establish a strong spider hook in the first place or you'll be in trouble. Hip into that leg hard or if possible bring your elbows in tight and circle your hands in to clear the hooks Rafa style. A guy with long legs who gets you stretched out will probably be able to enter, so don't get stretched out.

He tries to enter the Leandro style guard right at the start and Marcelo shuts it down.

You have to avoid the hook getting that deep in the first place, keep the hips low and create distance so you can bring the leg down, once the pressure is off but if you cant break the grip, then you counter attack.
