People rip on Pride but the UFC could follow their lead a bit on building up stars. The fighters fought more frequently and they mixed in weaker competition to give those great highlight reels and then build bigger marquee match-ups and tournaments. This 1 or 2 fight a year shit with the watered down cards is brutal. They aren't fighting enough to be remembered by casuals so the only thing they're remembering is gutter trash talk.

200,000 isn't that bad(Definitely not great). But if you get PPV points of say $2-3 each buy that's still $400-600K for a fight.

PLUS he would have cleaned up against JBJ, as that sold very well.

You don't get PPV points from buy #1
You only get them after a threshold is hit
It varies from contract to contract but from what is known, you usually don't get any at 200k
