So maybe we get to see Conor vs. Conor.

I don't think he goes to prison either. Unless he does something else stupid between now and June. There is no Conor fight news between now and then, no matter what trainers say.

You know they're going to say that. Conor will want Nate for obvious reasons. He's the best and most entertaining choice because:

  • Nate has the best shit talking out of anyone else Conor would fight. This will please the reality TV show casuals who watch for shit talking battles.
  • Nate and Conor are the most closely matched fighters, which has the most promise of back and forth action. Yes, Conor is about the same level of fighter as gatekeeper #6 - #10 ranked Diaz.
  • Nate will stand in front of Conor and take his shots without going cold. It's great for just bleed fans who need constant slobber knocker action that favors Conor winning in exchanges.
  • Nate has the least amount of power, which poses the least amount of threat of stopping Conor, so there is no reason for Conor's delusional fans to be scared.
  • Nate has the weakest wrestling, and poses a very small threat of taking Conor down and subbing him again.

Everyone else poses a huge threat to Conor, and will likely beat Conor in a more lopsided victory that isn't as exciting, ESPECIALLY because Conor will lose embarrassingly.

Conor wants to make money, he doesn't want to fight the best. He'll fight Khabib only because the numbers will be very high. It'll be UFC in Russia, it'll be an extremely heavily promoted card, it's a heated rivalry, and it'll likely have another world tour.

Conor would rather fight Nate, but if the money is big enough, he'll fight Khabib first. If he loses that fight, he'll then go on to fight Nate again, then retire.
