Paulie Malignaggi. Now, I understand some of you want to live your MMA dreams vicariously through Conor McGregor, and Dana White. However, that is very short-sighted, and less lucrative for Conor McGregor. If the sparring videos Conor released were a true representation of what sparring with Paulie looked like, then this is the fight that makes sense. It will not do MayMac numbers, but that is not the point. The point will be for Conor to defeat Paulie, get some credibility and more fans from the boxing community, and bring both communities together for his UFC return. This is the fight that makes for Conor McGregor's continued success. Even if itself 250K to 500K, that is big time numbers for a boxing promoter who is also headlining the card. It makes sense on all fronts, even for Zuffa Boxing. Tony Ferguson has a sore elbow anyways, and he may be out for 6 to 12 months. Money waits for nobody. Neither should Conor.
