It just seems like there are guys who in their latter 20s enter an intense prime of 1-2 years, and I think he's no longer in that window. But we'll see.

While it is true that they'll go crazy over mid level player, the reception LeBron gets far exceeds that of even Yao Ming or Ronaldo and obviously any lower tiered player. Basketball is literally China's most popular sports, far more so than badminton or ping pong. Jordan, Kobe and LeBron are literally worshipped in China.

This isn't jumping to conclusions based on internet pictures of his visits. I'm using pictures of his visits as a visual representation of his actual popularity in China.

Bit late on the reply, Football/Soccer is gaining on Basketball if they had qualified for the World Cup it may actually have eclipsed it this year. Still be interesting to see if they engage in the tournament. Fifa has actually missed a trick not having China host by now. Most likely will be in 2034, only 18 years to wait.

Poor list. Lebron is no way more famous than Messi. If someone knows about Ronaldo then they also know about Messi.
