Conor gets paid 3.5mil to fight yet UFC offers 500mil to Anthony Joshua?

How much is he making right now? Like 15-30 million dollars? Zuffa pockets aren't that deep and it would be a huge risk to sign someone for 500 million dollars worth of fights.

1. It's a multi-fight contract
2. Elite boxers don't get paid pennies, if Dana wants to sign him, he should pay him what the market values him at.
3. This is definitely going to affect future negotiations with UFC stars.
The single reason that the UFC has exploded while boxing promotions have bit the dust is precisely because the UFC does not offer market value. Joshua would never r turn on the investment, as he would get smashed in his first fight and then the CM Punk cat would be out of the bag. People pay to watch a freak show like Tony only once.

WME should stick to developing UFC and MMA, not venture to boxing where it's already a saturated market.

I absolutely love Joshua, but that fucker ain't passing USADA testing hahaha, we will be left with a deflated Reem version within a year.

Especially when he runs the major risk of being exposed in his first fight. Ngannou was an "a level athlete too" with years of training tdd too, and he still got smooshed by a low level D1 wrestler.

If they really offered that they just shot themselves in the foot. I can almost guarantee Conor is going to demand 50% more than he was asking now. And Conor has fuck you money to where if they say no, he will just retire

lol Joshua must be getting some stock options or something? 500 million would bankrupt the UFC

but its funny how Conor McGregor had to fight Floyd to actually get paid big, before he was lying and faking the funk like Ric Flair in his wrestling days with rented lambos and fur coats, Conor even got in trouble for standing on a rented luxury car and pretending it was his own on instagram before the Mayweather fight.

The rental company put him on blast saying that car is not yours to stand on like that or something.

There are some Conor gullible fans who actually believed Conor was making over 20 million a fight, and they site FORBEs lol

the majority of UFC stars still live in modest homes get paid 250 to 500k and max probably 1.5 million a fight, after taxes, manager, trainer, agent fees they will leave with around 350k.

If they were really making millions they would be living in huge mansions and stuff.
Look at Evander Holyfields massive mansion in Atlanta he doesn't own this house any more since he is bankrupt but back in the 90s he was getting paid 20 to 30 million a fight and bought this huge 109 room mansion, if these guys like Conor and Jon Jones were making 10 to 20 million a fight in UFC they would be living in mansions as well

Forbes just gives their estimated guess, they dont know the actual financials of a lot of these guys, they even reported that Mayweather actually got 20 million for his appearance on WWE when he only got paid 1 million it was part of the gimmick to get people to tune in. But Forbes added that to Floyds income for that year.

They want to sign Joshua to Zuffa boxing not the UFC.

Because Conor is a C level athlete and Anthony is an A level athlete

A level athlete money is still a shocker to sherdog

He asked that, doesn't mean he's going to get it. Remember Diaz asked for 30mil. Didn't get close.

You're comparison is skewed. Comparing Conor's one fight to an entire contract. Which could mean many fights, appearances , PPV, ad revenue , TV or whatever. Also those kind of numbers could he a lifetime contract. Who knows .

<{vega}>
Da fuq is this shit?

You’ve got an entire division clogged up because you don’t wanna pay the man who brought major promotion to your company, and all of a sudden 500mil magically appears for a boxer that’s less popular than your best star??

Where’s all this money coming from!? What am I missing here??

EDIT:

Veteran combat sports journalist Gareth A. Davies on Wednesday reported in The Telegraph Joshua (20-0 boxing) is someone the UFC wants to sign to a multi-fight deal. That deal, Davies reported, would be worth in the neighborhood of $500 million when converted from British pounds to U.S. dollars.

4.2 billion a start. news flash boxing makes more than mma who knew.

no it wont.

Does AJ do that well on PPV?

He has never had a PPV in the states, I think Dana White is investing in his potential value, but AJ might be muscular but his chin is sketchy and his gas tank.

I dont see AJ reigning very long, I think Deontay Wilder knocks him out, and Wilder has horrible boxing skills but he has an iron chin and has legit one punch power.

Even half of that? No chance these UFC cheapskates would offer anything remotely close if they’re not willing to pay Conor what he deserves.

I’m bummed out that he’s not defending his belt just like the rest of us, but the UFC needs to pay the man what he’s worth.

if it zuffa boxing doesn't mean wme is behind it.
