Confirmed: Khabib ducked Ferguson to wait for McGregor fight (UPDATE)

So because he wants a title shot against a guy who is ducking him, it means he's ducking somebody else? And it's confirmed?

No the other poster is correct and you are being stupid.

When the UFC offered Weidman a shot at Anderson Silva and the belt, Vitor immediately called Weidman out for an elimination bout for the title. Weidman RIGHTLY said his focus was on getting Anderson to sign the bout and his title shot.

Idiots on this forum said Weidman was ducking Vitor based on the same dumb logic you are using here. They said Weidman was avoiding fighting Vitor to protect his title shot and that was ducking. No it is not.

If a fighter is next in line for a title shot that is exactly the fight he should take and not some other fight. Imagine if Khabib fought and beat Ferguson and then another LW said 'we should fight before your title shot', ...is Khabib then obligated to fight that guy too before accepting his title shot, or again he is ducking? How many times does he have to prove he is willing to put off a title shot before its not ducking.

So TS stop being dumb. Any fighter who is next in line for a title shot should take every opportunity to get that fight done and not taking on side fights is not ducking.

(btw I think Tony beats Khabib)

Because is clear Conor will not defend his belt soon. Not this year, at least.

Maybe in 2018... autumn... who knows.
 
Not that I have any point but many forget Tony also pulled out of a fight with Khabib forcing Khabib to fight Horcher on short notice.Khabib shouldn't be let anywhere near a title fight till he can fight a little bit at least but they will give him a shot at some point cause it's the UFC.

Yes, McGregor is ducking Khabib by taking a $100 million dollar boxing fight. Khabib is not ducking Ferguson by failing to make weight the day before the fight and being unable to get ready for another fight with him within 7 months. Seriously?

All this would make sense if Khabib was actually next in line for a title shot. He isn't. He dropped out of a title eliminator because he couldn't make weight. He hasn't fought since despite being offered fights. The UFC has now put together an interim LW belt fight that he is not a part of. He is by no means "next in line" regardless of the talk of Conor entertaining the thought of a fight with him in Russia a few weeks back. The winner of Ferguson/Lee is next in line.

When you turn down 40000016753 fights you have zero ability to dictate when you fight. if he wanted 217 he can show up there as a spectator.
 
Why would Khabib get the Conor fight afterwards anyway?
He rarely fights and he messed up big time in what was supposed to be his previous fight.
And I'm not convinced that Khabib would have done well against Ferguson. Ferg's aggressive style and relentless pace would be too much for Khabib.

The winner of Ferguson/Lee would be the rightful opponent for Conor.

TDD is what counts. Footwork + TDD is at least stylistically how you counter khabibs style.

Who has the best TDD khabib has fought so far? That is a serious question. Johnson has been wrestlefucked his whole career
