If you feel like you can hit a PR fairly quickly (eg one month in), I say go for it & get off the mark.
You've got a guy on your team that wants a 60+ pound improvement in six months. I imagine he's hoping to make some progress in the first four weeks.I hope this doesn't apply to anyone lol.
If you can hit a deadlift PR in 4 weeks, which is 4 deadlift workouts for most people, you definitely didn't try hard enough on your starting submission.
