Cody Garbrandt reveals how Christ saved him after he attempted suicide

The neck tattoos are sinful in his faith? Why is he mocking his own faith? Seems like an untrustworthy man.
Where does he say that. They are not sinful. But you don’t care anyway just mocking to join the masses.

Not a fan of his antics but i am glad he picked up the pieces and was able to move forward an make something of himself.

Depression is no joke, and i will always empathize with people who suffer from it.

Whatever works for him is what's important. Acknowledging forces outside the 5 senses is very common and old as humankind itself. His takes the form of Jesus, good for him.

another fake Christian who didnt even read his holy book. maybe he should have honor Christ by not making shitty tattoos. Leviticus 19:28.

Reading comprehension is important.

Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD

The subject in the sentence is regarding rituals for the dead. Funeral rituals. The Jewish law was intended to make Jews easy to spot by visual cues. The God of the bible wanted them to be visually distinct. The surrounding countries were pagan and would cut themselves or get tattoos to mourn the dead. The bible told Jews not to imitate those rituals because they aren't pagans. If you read the whole chapter in context, you would see that it's about not imitating pagan practices. Tattoos are fine. Tattoos for the dead, no bueno. And to be clear, this is Jewish ritual law, not intended for Gentiles. This is further proven in Acts when Peter is told it's permissible to eat pork. Christians are to abide by the moral laws of the Bible God. They aren't required to follow Jewish customs.

Hope you learned something new. Have a good one.

Wow I legit never knew this. I'm not down with religon but I kind of feel bad for the dude.

Mixed martial arts fighter and former UFC bantamweight champion Cody “No Love” Garbrandt reveals in a new video how Christ saved him when he was in a “very dark place” in his life.

“I always knew that He was with me,” Garbrandt says in the video for the non-profit I Am Second organization.

The 27-year-old Garbrandt, who has a record of 11-2, said he grew up in Ohio in a family of fighters and that he and his older brother, Zach, fought for fun. It was a way of life, even if some of the fights resulted in bloody injuries.

Garbrandt said, “My brother was always bigger, faster, stronger, meaner than me growing up.” He continued saying, he felt he had “something to prove.”

Garbrandt wrestled in high school but then started doing drugs and partying. It “consumed” his life.

“I was in a dark place – very, very dark place,” he said.

Eventually, Garbrandt tried hanging himself. He would have died if his brother had not walked in and stopped him. They hugged, and Zach told him everything was going to be okay. It brought Garbrandt closer to his brother but, more importantly, closer to God.

“It was a changing point for me in my life,” Garbrandt said. “That moment, that bond and that thing that we went through really, you know, brought us even closer. [We began] attending church services together. It was nice to be there with my big brother, worshipping God and growing towards Him. So that was a start of a growing relationship with the Lord through going to the church, through reading different books about the Lord and just kind of growing my relationship with Him on a spiritual level of speaking to Him daily
That's cool. This may actually make me thi
Damn. Wouldn't have predicted that
Me either, but good for him.

Me too, man. I really do believe many people need a divine purpose in our nihilistic times, especially after reading Nietzsche and Jung. If I could press a button to make me a believer I certainly would.

U can't find purpose without the divine?
Sounds like you've been listening to too much JP.

JP is right about most things, but he really shits the bed when it comes to religion.

Is normal....

These are cage fighters. They do extreme stuff. If there's an extreme to be had (in life or death), these are the types to do it.

I don't say this as an insult. I have some semi extreme ways but I know my lane. I don't have the courage to (willingly) do some of the things they do. Some ppl are in a faster lane.

Anyone here being disrespectful towards a guy that comes out and says he almost killed himself is a complete piece of shit. I'm not a man of god, but if it helped save his life, then who am I to judge. Good for him- many people don't have the ability to turn their life around like that.

We rag on Cody a lot, but come on, he’s a chill ass dude and hell of a fighter. I’ll always root for him to succeed
Cody is anything but Chill. He has the War machine type ticking timebomb mentality
