She's retiring due to injuries.

WWE wrestler Paige will no longer compete in the ring due to an injury she suffered last month, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reports.
Paige was injured during a house show at the Nassau Coliseum on Dec. 27 during a six-woman tag match. She was kicked in the back by Sasha Banks and struggled to get back to her feet after the bump.

The injury wasn’t initially believed to be terribly serious, and WWE booked her to participate in the women’s Royal Rumble later this month. Additional medical tests have led to the determination, however, that it is in Paige’s best interests to stop wrestling, Johnson reports. He likens her situation to the end of Edge’s career in the ring.

Two things that I will always remember about her...internet smarks proclaiming how she was the real deal in-ring and would never fall into that vapid Total Diva lifestyle. The other is the porn. So many videos and photos from different angles and with different partners. It was Christmas everyday for a week.
Seems like she'll stick around in a Daniel Bryan capacity and I wish her well in her future endeavors.

I was a paige fan because I looked how she looked but I never thought she was a good worker.

She was definitely good for her age (how good is of course debatable), she had a lot of room left to grow. And getting to work programs with the current crop of talent would definitely have answered a lot of questions about where she stands talent wise and where the ceiling might be.

I remember when I first got a glimpse of her in her early NXT days, I thought she had a ton of potential as this mysterious, goth chick who was born into the business and could wrestle. When I found out she had a British accent, it added to her mystique. Reminded me of Crow Sting.

Then she showed up on the main roster, joined "Total Divas," and exposed herself as a typical immature frat girl—all-the-more magnified with her recent scandals.

All-in-all, unfortunate to end an in-ring career this early in a performer's life, but from an industry perspective, nothing of value was lost.

*As a sidebar, I know this guy from a previous life on Twitter, and based on his tweets / retweets, there is a subculture of fat, lonely, loserish marks who are obsessed with WWE divas, and to them, this is the most tragic thing that has ever happened in the history of the world (more so than World War II or the Black Death).
