Interim featherweight titlist Claudio Marrero was ordered on Thursday to face Jesus Rojas in his first defense. The WBA said it notified both camps that they have 30 days to make a deal or a purse bid will be ordered to determine who will promote the fight. Marrero (22-1, 16 KOs), 28, of the Dominican Republic, took the interim belt from Carlos Zambrano by first-round knockout on April 29 in Las Vegas. Rojas (25-1-2, 18 KOs), 30, of Puerto Rico, has won three fights in a row, most recently knocking out previously undefeated Abraham Lopez in the eighth round on May 5 on a "Golden Boy on ESPN" card at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
