I loved that time period in MMA with Chuck in his prime.

But realistically any version of Chuck would just get mauled by Jones.

Chuck hit hard obviously but its not like Jones chin has been shown to be anything but stellar.

Chuck liked to throw looping power shots from odd angles, but he'd have no way to negate the giant reach advantage.

And while Chuck had great TDD (and great ability to get back to his feet when taken down), dealing with Jones grappling is just a different animal. Chuck would need to try to get past that reach and would then likely end up in the clinch with Jones. From there he'd get ragdolled and smashed.

Jones just presents about a million more problems for Chuck than vice versa.

That's crazy talk. Even in his prime, Jones by Hellbows. It would be similar to Chuck vs Rampage 1.

Or even Randy vs. Chuck 1, which Randy won. Jones has faced a bunch of heavy-handed fighters and no one has KO'd him. He also has a very different wrestling/TD style than Randy, Tito and other guys Chuck fought. Jones would clinch, trip and then start landing elbows and maybe get a submission eventually. (Jones submitted at least 3 BJJ black belts.)

Overeem had also been KO'd multiple times prior to that. He never had the chin that Jones has showed.
