I thought Lytle had a cushy job as a firefighter? He must have a competitive itch that needs scratching.

That's probably it, I don't get why these guys just don't try to win some grappling titles instead of getting punched in the head.

Lytle was the man. You'd think he'd be able to get a fight in the UFC no problem. Even at his age, he'd tune someone like CM Punk no problem. He'd have a decent chance against pretty much anyone outside the top 15-20.
