Njokuani (17-5 MMA, 4-1 BMMA) will move from welterweight to middleweight to take on Hisaki Kato(8-2 MMA, 4-0 BMMA) at Bellator 189, which takes place Dec. 1 at WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Okla. The card airs on Spike



The latest Bellator 189 card now includes:

  • Julia Budd vs. Arlene Blancowe – for women’s featherweight title
  • Chris Honeycutt vs. Rafael Lovato
  • Hisaki Kato vs. Chidi Njokuani
 
This fight has fireworks written all over it. Kati is down to bang. I like this fight
 
Kato is 4-1 in Bellator, he lost to Manhoef.
 
About time he gave up on welterweight.
 
Very glad he moved up. This is an awesome fight. Kato will fight anyone

McCarthy didn't even give him a chance to recover or anything. He just stop the fight right away when hisaki got dropped. Not only that, it was a competitive close fight the whole time. I'm pretty sure hisaki was winning that round in the scorecards.
 
Was there much protest from Hisaki? I seem to remember thinking Hisaki got saved from taking more beatings... Making it a good stoppage being that the ref did his job in that case protecting Hisaki..Hisaki was up on the score cards but. It's Melvin he can turn a fight around just like that....win or lose lol

I want kato or shlmenko to be mw champ, either of them. But now that mousasi is in bellator now, I see mousasi being champ.

Glad he stopped the WW nonsense. He was not going anywhere there.

I would agree with you on how nice it was too see him finish that fucking prick Schilling...Schilling is a tool. But to say Chidi is not great is whack. That guy has excellent striking he is a very talented fighter and still has a long career ahead of him.
