If the rules are upheld, Jones is looking at a 4 year suspension. At age 30, that is a career death sentence.

However, Jones would attract alot of eyes to the Japanese market, who would likely let him fight even if he was suspended (i think barnett and diaz did this in the past....i could be wrong).....

IF JONES GETS SUSPENDED FOR 4 YEARS:

What are the chances he is able to secure a release from his UFC contract? Keep in mind the only purpose to the contract with a 4 year suspension would be to prevent him from working as a mixed martial artist. Do you think the contract becomes unenforceable if one of the parties has no intention of actually upholding the contract? (in this instance the UFC could not offer him fights or they would likely lose their promoter license)

How long do you think the UFC can hold Jones to a contract with no intention of letting jones fight?

Would jones be willing to go to Rizin/One and make money from sponsors with low guaranteed pay?

How do you think it would affect his ranking? Also, do you see fighters leaving the UFC to fight him in japan (like fedor)?

I guess this is part about the legal aspect of a contract that is likely for a term half as long as the suspension being indefinitely extended...... and just in general, if you were jones, what options would you be eyeing at this point?

Discuss...

High.... high chances, high on TRT, high on steroids, high on cocaine.

He could do lil kickboxing, ammy boxing, kind of float around different stuff outside of the states.

If he wanted, beat up scrubs in the Rizin

Damn man, a lot of questions haha.. just go to Japan and fook'em all

Is Coke readily available in Japan?

Pretty good idea!!! He could be the American fighter in Japan who juices like crazy and gets coked up in roppongi and ends his night with Viagra and hookers.

Damn good life as far as I am concerned.

Ooo, we could get Jon Jones vs Cro Cop in a juice off.

Or Yon Yones in a wig vs Gabi Garcia in a female juice off

Have you ever seen a japanese commercial???

EDIT: Literally the first thing that popped up on youtube

Fck U !!!!!!!

Now I know I'm going to watch 57 vids of japanese commercial on YouTube.

if he gets 4 years i think ufc will release him so he can fight in japan.

Bellator aren't adverse to lending out fighters to Japanese orgs. Fedor vs Jones on New Years.

Why would the UFC release the greatest fighter on planet earth?

I guess if he met with the UFC and beg for his release because he wanted to go to Japan to fight he could. But it's not like he's going to live there. He has a family and kids that live in Albuquerque.

I'd rather see him do kickboxing for glory or something like that

I would've said no chance, but with UFC recently releasing Mir, Wanderlei, and Cro Cop during suspension periods, maybe there is a slim chance they'd release Jones.

I think a Jones vs. Fedor fight in Japan would draw, and honestly, assuming he gets a 4 year ban in the US, he should go ahead and fight overseas. I don't agree with him bypassing the punishment from an ethical standpoint, but a lot can happen in 4 years. He could continue to fight and make money, and in 2 years, the entire landscape in the US could change, and he would've have to miss out on 4 fights worth of money.

If Jones doesn't fight for Bellator or Rizin, he could easily be a movie star like The Rock.

I'm no expert but Isn't it illegal to fight during suspension? The only time I remember is Vitor fighting in England while in suspension with Nevada. If he can fight sexual chocolate's gonna love Japan.

He can't do anything unless the UFC allows, IF they let him out of his contract he can fight internationally.
