Chael Sonnen was an amateur boxer!?

I remember something about him competing in Golden gloves who knows if it's true or not. Olympic team? that's just a dream he had probability.

He started in the streets though.
Beat the shit out of Kimbo back in the day. Look it up on YouTube

Chael was *this close to beating a prime Anderson & Jones. Put some respek on his name

It's true, he was coached by Dana too.
Hey Dana is no joke, he got CTE from Boxercise according to Joe Hogan. Also he was ran out of Philly by notorious mobster Left-Eye Lopez who wanted a cut from his ridiculously profitable Boxercise circuit.

Well, his boxing was pretty damn effective vs Anderson Silva. Chael wobbled him a couple times, even knocked him down and basically connected at will.

Chael has good boxing.

Chael has passable boxing, but the threat of a takedown is pretty big in opening those options up under MMA ruleset.

But he humiliated Silva in every way and became the middleweight champion. And you're saying he did it with "passable" boxing... yeah right.

Would that make his amateur boxing credentials to be similiar to getting a toy in your happy meal?

Damn some of you are gullible. I've seen olympic level boxers and he's def not it. These are people that could go pro if they wanted to.

Well, he outboxed Silva for 5 1/2 rounds. But nowadays his boxing is utter shit.
Still undefeated

He probably has better boxing than Jones if that helps, and Jones is the GOAT.
