He Said this in a video about ronda and Brock. It wasnt the point of the video, he just threw that out there real quick so no need to embed.

But is he? Well yeah, in terms of selling tickets and PPV, but i guess so would Tom Cruise and Leonardo dicaprio or CM punk if they were booked out of their popularity outside the cage alone right? Of course, Brock does have a past in legit fighting unlike a random celeb, but you get what im saying...

Can we really say Brock is the A side here?

Sure he was a UFC Champion and all, but like i said that was ages ago. Its not an actual thing right now...

Its like booking Chuck vs Jon Jones.... Would Chuck be the a side?

Im not saying Brock isnt. Just how wierd It is to brag about It.

When they say “A side” they are talking about money alone. It has little to do with fight accolades or belts. If mayweather fought Mcgregor in mma mayweather would still be the a side.

There are no A sides in the UFC
B is the highest you can get
UFC will always be the A side

He's only the A side when it comes to selling tickets as you mentioned.

I am rather confused by this fight for DC. For man that constantly talks about his legacy being so important to him and now he has like two fights to go and he wants to fight Brock? I know Because he thinks it’s going to make a lot of money for him. I’m telling you right now it will not. Brock is not the draw he was in the sport. He used to be legit and he is not anymore. Hell years ago after he lost to Cain his fight with Reem did under 800 thousand buys. Now he is like a decade removed from his best with 1 fight under his belt 2 plus years ago. DC should just be fighting the two best opponents possible to further his legacy. This is not going to be to pay off that he thinks it’s going to be.

I don’t see 1 million buys out of this thing. Not at all. Brock is no longer legit and the public understand this. What made him such a huge draw was yes the pro wrestling background/fans but also he was legit. At one point in the UFC this man was a monster in the octagon. He damn near killed Frank Mir at UFC 100. Those days are long gone. CM punks debut in a card that also featured the heavyweight champion defending his title only sold 450,000 buys..

Of course it's Brock, he is the Paycheck Incarnate after all. Even DC calls him Big Brock and asks for Christmas Blessings.

I saw you post earlier I said let it be.. but you quoted me now. :D

My man do you not see the interest that Brock brings to this forum.. that little video with the push of DC was making the rounds on the big sites and social media more then DC's victory itself.. yea I know strange and not fair times but this is what is happening can't be blind to it.

Did you buy/see UFC 200 for the piss colored canvases ? for the cool round number, for Frankie vs Jose.. for Tate vs Nunes.. give me a break it was because of Brock.

And that lower buy rate of Lesnar vs Reem was indeed after we saw him decimated by Cain yep he lost some interest from that clearly but it was also UFC with some fook ups like having the card on a Friday and at a new time, I remember that well enough. Wait and see Conor's buys after Khabib is done with him.

He's a HW monster and he won his last fight. His spectacle dwarfs CM Punk literally and figuratively. CM Punk was long gone from WWE when he finally debut. Lesnar is still active and a star.

Also, CM Punk was responsible for at least a couple hundred thousand of those buys. No one in the UFC can sell more than a few hundred thousand other than Conor, Lesnar, Jones, and GSP.

Jones ain't selling that well alone... Jones does good with a good match up and rivalry like Evans, DC, Rampage. (Gus was a no go)

    seriously?

they don't have to break a million buys for DC to make good money. the fight will do better than ANY other option for him at HW right now.

the only other fight that comes close, is a trilogy with Jones, and we have no idea if/when Jones will be back.

safe bet that Brock is also an easier fight for DC than Jones, so...yeah, in his shoes, I would be all over this matchup too.
