Media Cejudo might beat TJ and move to ONE

Section V states the bout agreement dictates the terms of said bout. There is nothing in this contract dictating weight classes. If the contract (which dictates the broad terms of promotion and not specific matches) stated weight classes then to have a catchweight fight or fighter switch weight would require a completely new contract.

Check out section 6.2

There are a lot of places overall in the contract that clearly indicate that the contract's huge parts are done specifically for Alvarez and his case.
Overall a very interesting read, but the weight classes ARE mentioned here...

Fighters are "independent contractors" but are forced into multiyear contracts that they can't leave. The employer of these independent contractors can dictate frequency of paydays and have the contractors work for no money (fighters pay for camp/nutrition and train for months to have their fight pulled from card for various reasons outside their control). Then dictate that half their pay rides on outperforming another contractor, which can be wrongly decided by judges who have no experience in the contractors field. All while forcing the contractor to wear a uniform that drastically lowers their potential pay so the employer can make more money and seem legit. Which could have also helped then when their contracted fight was canceled.

The UFC employment structure is fucked beyond anything. UFCs worth has upped 3 bil in like 2 years but have you seen it reflect in general fighters pay. Its why one if the biggest media companies bought it for 4 bil, its a corporate wet dream.

And yet the whole MMA community laughs at Leslie Smith and bashes her for using her own example to appeal to the government in an attempt to change this...

So...Cejudo is going to beat TJ?

Drugs are a terrible thing; you guys should get help.

UFC won't let him go to ONE if he beats TJ and I think he has like a 6 fight contract with UFC anyway. I can see UFC letting him go if he loses though.
He talked about it with Helwani.

His contract is for 125lbs fights.. if UFC gets rid of the division he would be a free agent.

Anyways.. I don think h beats TJ
