I like Canelo and he is one of my favorite fighters.

i just am not sure how he will do in bigger weight classes. I don't think he can hurt GGG.

And if GGG isn't scared of your power, he will work you.

I wonder why people assume a body shot won't get the job done. Golovkin got hurt to the body against light punching Monroe, and Canelo is one of the better body punchers in the sport right now.

Some people think that if you didn't get KOd, you didn't get your ass kicked.
    Chavez got his ass kicked.

its as if some people didnt even watch jrs last fight agasint britsch or the fact that chavez pretty much lost to journeyman vera who was then kod by rosado in bkb

people that are capping this fight with the premise that chavez was the same chavez that fought sergio and beat up andy lee are in for a rude awakening.

lemuiex, jacobs and golovkin all wouldve kod chavez saturday night.

He was the same Chavez that fought Sergio. He looked lost and befuddled against Martinez to the point where all the commentators were calling for the fight to be stopped to save his career. His face was busted up and he looked like he was going to die in there. Just because he landed one perfect shot in round 12 does not change the fact he got beat up way worse by Segio than he did by Canelo.

Even forever journeyman Andy Lee was beating his ass before Chavez turned the tide and stopped him.

Chavez just sucks. He always has. Yeah he had great potential but he never translated it into anything significant in the ring. He lost to all the good fighters he faced like Canelo/Fonfara/Martinez and he should have lost to Vera and Rubio who aren't world class by any stretch.

andy lee is not a journeyman

since his destruction of the emmanuel steward protegee chavez has absorbed over 1000 punches and was sent to the hospital after being kd by fonfara

hes not the same fihgter and thats why canelo fought him...possibly weight drained at that

Oh that's why he fought him? Silly me, I thought it was because he's getting used to the middleweight division and he needed a stay busy fight before September and they both knew this would make huge amounts of money with the whole Mexican rivalry thing. But you're probably right Canelo would definitely run scared from Chavez before the Vera fight.

I don't know what to make of GGG's last fight. Is Jacobs that good, or did GGG just have a bad day at work? Anyways, I used to think GGG would KO Canelo, but Canelo is now a grown ass man entering his prime. Canelo by decision

I think GGG has declined somewhat since he first arrived on the scene, but Jacobs is the goods, I'd pick him to beat Canelo and quite possible GGG in a rematch.

Jacobs hurt him visibly to the body as well. Good point. Canelo has nasty bodywork.

The only problem is that's about twice as many seats to sell out. Is it worth selling tickets at artificially low prices to get a sellout?

Yes. No one should care how much the promoters make. Let real boxing fans have affordable, easily accessible tickets.
