Cancer, former 3x SMW Champ Markus Beyer passes away

After having the fight of his life, against cancer,
Markus Beyer just passed away...yesterday.

He finished his career with a record of:
35-3-1 (13 finishes)
Won the WBC SMW Belt 3x
He also snatched the bronze medal at the amateur world championships in 1995 and the silver medal at the european amateur chanpionships in 1996...

"On April 5, 2003, Beyer challenged Canadian WBC super middleweight champion Eric Lucas and was awarded a highly controversial split decision in Germany.[2] It was later proven that Beyer's team cheated by obtaining the judges' scores during the fight."
