Nate Diaz has many holes in his game and you can essentially make a blueprint on how to beat him. Conor has taken notes of people in the past who have beat Diaz but has never really tried many head kicks. Diaz is susceptible into being lured into head kicks, and it has proven to be the only strike to finish him.

Its not like Conor is too short to head kick him, plus when thompson (who is only 5'10, conor is 5'9) KO'd diaz, he caught diaz moving into it, so height is not much of a factor:

Benson Henderson (who is only 5'9 same height as conor):

Conor can easily lure nate diaz into moving forward by working his body and chopping at his legs with kicks, and time a head kick that could possibly even finish diaz. If not finish, it would certainly hurt diaz and help conors chances.

Let's just hope they fight other people and not worry about it.

And Conor has never finished anyone with a head kick nor has he ever shown any ability to finish anyone with a head kick.

Conor also came back in the second fight with a 'blueprint' and still couldn't finish Nate.

Would be a crazy end to the trilogy. Just don't want to see it anytime soon.

One of those kicks was not like the others, one of those kicks just didn't connect. Hey Sherbro's do you know who whiffed on their kick..?

And the troll tread of the day goes to.................

Wake up guys, ANY fighter at this level CAN knock out anyone at ant moment.

Hell nah...

Diaz gonna merk this fooker once and for all

Well neither did Thomson, however he was still able to lure him into the kick. Mcgregor also stunned holloway a few times with a head kick I believe, and if he set it up by using body shots and leg kicks (similar to Jones vs DC) then he could've KO'd him.

Yes, but by a McGregor kick?

Conor's got nice low kicks, but I don't see him knocking any serious fighter out with a high kick.

He could, but if Conor were to finish Nate, i dont think its gonna be from a kick.

Conor only got power on his low kicks. His high kicks from what ive seen has poor technique and power. His low kick technique are on point tho.

McGregor rarely ever lands any of his kicks. They are too slow and telegraphed

Lol ok? So I guess we can say this about any other LW who can throw a solid high kick?

I would love to see a highlight video of whatever few kicks Conor has actually ever landed.

Sure - If the kick lands at just the right velocity and on just the right part of Diaz's head, it could hurt him and give Conor the hope of pouncing on him and putting him out. Is it likely, though? Not really.

C'Mon Man, you know what we call'em mirror kickers admiring their kicks in the mirror than actually applying it with intent in a fight...

Conor his skinny legs and not a lot of power in his kicks. If he did he would have finished Diaz with the amount of low kicks he landed in their second fight.

His side is great but its a jamming kick not a KO kick. His high round kick doesn't pack a lot of steam. Maybe if it landed perfectly, but Diaz has a good enough chin that somone has to have good solid high kick to put him down.
Mcgregor is better off improving his low kick and working his boxing while trying to fix his atrocious cardio.
