I'm gonna say for the umpteenth time...

Barboza SUCKS against wrestlers. Go watch literally every single fight of his against a fighter with a wrestling base. He has never been able to deal with pressure.

Kevin Lee or anyone dominating Barboza means absolutely nothing when it comes to a fight with Conor.
 
I'm not a Conor fan but realistically he is a damn good fighter in the cage.
But, he also only fought 1 fight at LW. It's very hard to make the case that he's the top 3 LW since he only fought once.

He beat Eddie Alvarez. Ok...who was also beat by Donald Cerrone and Michael Chandler......

Conor's stance gives fighters fits....but Kevin Lee has a long ass reach and he has good instincts when rocked. I think McGregor vs Lee would either mirror Conor vs Eddie with Conor tooling Lee or Conor getting smashed by Lee even worse than Barbosa did.

This thread is proof that people shouldn't do drugs. There's no other explanation for some of you saying that Conor should be below Alvarez and Dustin. Either that or some of you hate a man you've never met so much, that you would let it mess with your judgment, but that would be pretty sad.

But 1-4 at LW are most definitely #1 Khabib, #2 Tony, #3 Poirier, #4 Lee

You would seriously have him below Dustin? He's beaten a higher ranked fighter than Dustin has at light weight. Not to mention that he's beaten Dustin himself.

No, he didn't.
Fight was declared a NC. Poirier is more active and is coming off 2 wins, Alvarez is coming off 1 win.
Alvarez has fought 2 times since 2017, Poirier has fought 4 times.

And when did he beat a higher-ranked fighter than Dustin? Both guys beat the same guy, lol.
 
He's been inactive for so long, I don't know what his skill level is now.

I wonder if you were so vocal about the rankings when Khabib was ranked #2 in the division in 2016 even though he hadn't fought for 2 years?

Tony has fought a few months ago, lol. So your argument doesn't make any sense.
And by the way, Khabib wasn't ranked at #2 in 2016 before he came back.
 
inactive fighters are always a shit fight in rankings Ideally fighters are active and only loses his ranking when he gets beats by lower ranked opponents. Obviously when you're a duck it throws a wrench in the system.

Conor was finally stripped thats the main thing. Much more important than rankings. His high ranking isn't fucking up the division in a significant way. If he stays retired commonsense will eventually have to prevail.
 
Should not even be ranked. He is basically a retired fighter at this point. IF he fights again then we can talk about rankings.

He has only fought 3 guys who are currently in LW division.. Nate Diaz, Joseph Duffy and Eddie Alvarez, and Eddie is the only guy he has beat. He lost against Nate got choked out and he lost against Duffy got choked out. He did win a very dubious close decision with Nate.
 
Those two fights with Diaz were not at LW....Conor is still top 2 FW/LW in the world easily

people forget that he's a fw though, most of his fights are at fw and he blitzed the division.
hes had 1 lw fight against the champ and it was a brutalisation of the champ...
the two losses the haters hang at were at 170lb, unless thats the new lw bracket ? then hes 1.0 in the lw division against the champ and demolished him.
has fought in 3 weight divisions
has a very high finish rate
and moves up in competition with ALMOST every fight.
doesnt pull out with weight issues or injuries
and doesnt fight mid tiers for belts.

haters gonna hate but as an mma fan, hes great to watch and what a lot of other should aspire to.
