This guy had a reputation for being boring in strike force.

They're all boring. It's just part of the new UFC where a lot of top guys don't want to take any risks. They like to cherrypick fights and once the fight itself starts, they points fight.

I've blamed the scoring system for years for all the points fighting. It's a system designed for a totally different sport in boxing.
