when you see "muscular" boxers/mma fighters/lgymnasts,etc, do you automatically assume they lift weights routine the same way bodybuilders do?

or its possible to build muscles without the wellknown weight training?


i mean is it possible to build ,for example, strong shoulder or biceps,etc without even using the traditional barbells/dumbbells at all?

Fighters focus on strength training while bodybuilders train for hypertrophy. In most cases, unless the fighter is undersized, additional muscle is a hindrance.

It's possible to build strength without weights, but isn't optimal. Check out the FAQ area for more info.
 
The three factors responsible for hypertrophy are

1) Mechanical tension
2) Muscle Damage
3) Metabolite accumulation

All three can be generated without weights, but are easier with them
