Pretty sure it's ok, as multiple others have corroborated it at this point.
Don't wanna get slammed? Then let go.
That's fucking illegal.dana
I actually thought exactly that when I saw it, took me back to the hallucinogens of the 90's. Watched that gif for a while, then watched it a while more...That looks almost like really tripping but not as weird.
You'd rather be kicked in the face?
I watched the video of that fight scene because of @Rex Kwon Do 's AV. It was pretty horrendous, but funny too seeing Seagal fake-smacking GSP around. Ludicrous stuff. The GSP avatar gets me every time.

Holy crap! Bookmarked.Watch the video I posted on the 2nd page.
I think spiking is OK if you're doing it to get out of a submission, it's just not OK if you're doing it for "offense."
Interedasting
yes, you can clearly see that's a variation of DiM MAK!!Did he dieded?
Happy Im not stoned! WTF is this? This might be the most unnerving thing I have ever seen.By the way, that soccer kick looked like it went right to the back of the head, damn.
EDIT: Someone beat me to it--so just enjoy this gif.
IIRC you can only not spike if you have control of your opponent. If he has a submission on you, he is technically in control and therefore you can do whatever you want to escape
