Brother kills sister

Listen. If we're going to be honest with each other, we have to realize that a lot of people in this country aren't qualified to leave the fucking house, let alone have guns. This is a horrific example of that.
 
I'm a strong 2nd amendment supporter, and I've advocated that a part of being a responsible gun owner is being held responsible with said gun even when it isn't in your hands

If a person's gun is easily accessed by a child and used in a crime/accident, the gun owner should be held accountable for a negligent homicide

While I am not pro-gun (or anti gun for that matter, I just believe in more regulation), there are too many cofluencing factors that could contribute to this type of behavior that are not reported in the story (situation at home, does the child have violent tendencies etc.). A gun was merely the medium used by a troubled child in a senseless tragedy. Could have just as easily been a kitchen knife, baseball bat etc.
