Jones is a freak. proof that
pure athleticism > actual technique and experience in MMA

also: "when Jones first came into the gym, he knew nothing and still kicked everyones ass"

That is impressive. Granted, Jon was still learning against an aging vet who was brought in as a sacrificial lamb.

This just shows that Jon was destined to become the GOAT

Gonna have to call bullshit on this. Not sure when Jon Jones moved to NM, but prior to that, he was with a pretty damn good camp in upstate New York. Maybe not Jack-Wink level, but solid. Passing the guard is basic shit, no way they did not teach him how to do that.

Jones is not proof that athleticism > skill and experience. He had 11 professional fights, an good background in Greco, and was being taught by the right people. If he'd fought Matyushenko in his first fight, he'd have gotten his ass kicked. His size and athleticism is what put him over top, though.

u calling Brian stann a liar?

Athletic, coordinated wrestlers are able to come in and kick ass without much training.

he had community college background in wrestling and he took down an Olympian.
hes a whitebelt in bjj and he subbed 2 blackbelts

You are 100% correct. That was day one when I did combatives in the military. No way someone with that many fights, an extensive wrestling background, and solid mma training doesn't know how to pass the guard. You better than this stann, though maybe not, he was an officer.

Community college nat champ who was being recruited by the best D1 programs in the country.

By the time he fought Maty, he had a few years of pro mma under his belt, a background in wrestling, and was a long and athletic lhw. Equating that to being a complete noob with just athleticism is fallacious reasoning.

and why would stand do that
Why would a UFC employee hype a UFC fighter? That never happens. Just ask Joe Rogan about a once in Human History WMMA champion. No exaggeration there.
Why would a former team mate ever hype up one if his team mates? Must be why a brazillian always picks a brazillian in a fight.

Exaggeration on exaggeration. Jon doesn't mind being in full guard with his length, but also has struggled to pass guards in the past. He tries to land outside guard when he goes for TDs.

I scrolled through the Bonnar fight, he passes after a terrible triangle attempt.

community college wrestling like Rumble.
Community college wrestling like Cain. Both guys wrestled at ICCC. Cain just happened to go onto ASU. Jon was being recruited by D1 schools in Iowa(top 5 programs at the time). Jones decided to move on to mma, though, because he knocked his gf up, and he thought that would be a good way to pay the bills.
