And both times Bellator had a solid cards booked that very night.

Don't want to say Bellator is the sole reason, but it is a bit of a coincidence.
 
This is what happens when you have 3 champion vs champion super-fights in a little over 6 months—it cuts the number of title fights in half. Prior to this year there had only ever been 2 of these fight in the history of the UFC.

Cejudo vs Benavidez II
Dillashaw vs Cruz II/Assuncao III/Moraes
Nunes vs Holm
Cyborg vs Victim

Not cutting 125 and adding 165 (+175) and potentially even 195 would also help. Not every division needs to be filled with PPV blockbusters. Of course there’s a good chance the PPV model eventually ceases to make sense entirely and the UFC abandons it altogether, or significantly slims down the number.

What’s the difference between women martial arts and men martial arts? Are there different techniques and competition rules? Why should women like Joanna, Shevchenko, Rose etc who are more skilled than 80% of the male roster not be headlining over them? They are superior fighters and deserve the superior spots on the card.
