Anderson once DESTROYED 3 LHW's during his reign and never even got a title shot.
He didn't want to fight his friend

DJ is faster than Henry, is a far better striker, and has significantly more power than Henry (who only has 1 finish in his entire UFC run). The only advantage Henry has over TJ or DJ is wrestling but DJ was nearly even with him in that department for most of the fight.Nope. Henry has the speed, power and wrestling to deal with TJ. MM had all kinds of injuries after fighting Cejudo and wanted no part of TJ.
i don't doubt he will give it his all. But I'm going to have to see it to believe it. He will look terrible.TJ will never miss weight.
He is far too professional.
If TJ wins, there is an argument that proves 125ers didnt need their own division, they were hiding and 135ers could take it when they wanted.
If Cejudo wins, it "proves" 135-125 weight difference pointless.
Its the kick on the way out.
Even in his youth he never got under 130. He'd have to cut well over 15% of his total mass to hit championship weight. Even if he can do it, he won't be anywhere near 100%TJ is one if not the most committed martial artist in the game, no doubt he makes the weight
I agree with your thoughts on if TJ wins. If Cejudo wins, closing the weight class would be a dumb choice imo. The UFC is clearly banking on TJ winning.
Its ruining Bellator as well. Just win a division and clear it out. If the superfight makes sense afterwards, in rare situations do that at a catchweight. The constant strive to be a “Champ Champ” is up there with the worst things to happen in the post-Zuffa era of the promotion.
Exactly! The Bellator BW division is getting left behind, especially with Caldwell constantly clamoring for FW fights, Mayday retiring, Dantas being KO’d and injured, etcIts ruining Bellator as well. Just win a division and clear it out. If the superfght makes sense afterwards, in rare situations donit at a catchweight.
So BW is going to be held up for a division getting the axe.
Cool.
What's Moraes think?
Probably that he feels bad for Raphael Assunção.

He suffered injuries from Cejudo. That means, Cejudo's striking was better. Speed, maybe MM had an edge but not when it came to mixing it up. No way, MM was even in wrestling, he was taken down repeatedly, passed on and took GNP. The only area MM excelled was landing leg kicks.DJ is faster than Henry, is a far better striker, and has significantly more power than Henry (who only has 1 finish in his entire UFC run). The only advantage Henry has over TJ or DJ is wrestling but DJ was nearly even with him in that department for most of the fight.
The only reason Dj didn't fight TJ was because Dana and DJ couldn't come to an agreement on a contract (as always). MM with injuries arguably beat Cejudo. He stands a far better chance against TJ than Henry does. This is coming from a guy that likes Cejudo and hates TJ.
MM's style is much more fit to beat TJ. Henry isn't going to stall TJ out on the ground.
233 will be 4 months since the last title defense. If TJ gets the title with minimal damage, he could easily defend the belt in less than a year total. So BW is going to be held up for a division getting the axe.
