BREAKING: Dana White announces Conor will likely be stripped very soon!

The guy is a 1-0 champion who hasn't fought in the UFC in over a year, the fact that the UFC has to say "he is stripped" for the fans to realize that he is only a paper champion at best is the most interesting part of this saga.

The sport really is WWE without the scripted endings (as far as we know).

PS: if you watch the tmz video clip it gives some more details, conor was asking to fight in August/September but thats too late; if he does return he will most likely vs khabib/tony winner.

nothing breaking IMO.
Since the fight was announced, he hinted it would happen.
But even now, he won't confirm, because there's no sense to strip him if the fight does not go through... and this fight already got cancelled twice... so why risk stripping him for nothing?

I'm a fan of Conor and even I think he should be stripped of the belt now. I don't think he's scared to fight either Khabib or Tony though, just wants his contract renegotiated and that is the stalemate. I'm sure all the offers look like chump change after making $100MM against Floyd.

He's scared of losing his title. Would he have fought Ferg or Beeb if they had the title instead of Eddie? Posibly. negotiations thing, just a stalling tactic. the money Conor made in boxing Floyd, shouldn't be a factor. it's just that, he boxed Floyd in boxing.

If they strip him, which I think he wants, Nate or GSP is next imo.
