Just do the frikkin Idris Elba James Bond idea already. Free trendy racial diversity cred, and it would actually be good casting. Win win.
What if EON went the KINGSMAN route? Wouldn't that be nice. Last one seemed like it was veering back toward the ludicrous end of the spectrum. Given the waning appeal of Philip Seymour Hoffman as Bourne, it only makes sense to embrace .... hell, if they could wrangle Vaughn...Michael Fassbender or Aidan Turner would be my choices for Bond.
Bah, who needs 007 when you have Kingsman.
Craig was criticized for being too ugly and having those terrible ears back in the day. And looking too short/thick. Im 32 and hes my favourite Bond so far. Tho when I think of Bond, he isnt him. Guess I liked his movies better. Maybe due to prpduction. He's probably too old and maybe not good looking enough, but someone out of left field that I like is Mark Strong.
Spectre was an awful film, that's what happened. Casino Royale was awesome and Skyfall was really good imo, and Spectre managed to undo those two by slaughtering the current JB backstory. They wanted to go back to some campiness of the original Bond films it seems. They put awful Fast and Furious action sequences because it was the 'cool' thing to do in movies now I guess.

Earlier this month, rumors started circulating that Daniel Craig would reportedly return as James Bond. That's good news for us and bad news for Craig, a man who truly hates that job despite the fame and fortune it brings him.
Now, according to a report by the New York Times, Craig is officially playing Bond in the next 007 movie:
Eon Productions, the London-based company that oversees all things 007, and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, which holds rights to the franchise, said on Monday that the next installment would arrive in theaters in North America on Nov. 8, 2019.

The 25th Bond film will be written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, veteran 007 writers who have worked on every film since The World Is Not Enough in 1999.
While doing press for his most recent movie, he said he would "rather break this glass and slash my wrists" than return to play 007 again. He regularly talked shit about the character, saying Bond was a misogynist who had nothing of value to teach the world. He hated it so much, he turned down a $99 million offer followed by a $150 million offer.
We can only hope the experience will be somewhat more pleasant for Craig this time.

I don't get why people are cool with Irish and Scottish actors playing a British character, but a black British guy? Outrage time.
$150 mil for one movie? Has anyone come close to that kinda money?

It would be like making a Blade movie with a white guy. You can't do that shit.
Actually, I disagree.
Elba would have been an awesome James Bond, 10 years ago. He'd be in his mid-40s by the time its time to shoot this next movie, and he looks older than that.
But, as much as I hate to argue against myself, I'd hate to give the SJW crowd anything more to celebrate about.
But who knows, maybe the next James Bond will be bi-sexual, trans-gender, asian, and muslim.
It's not that I don't think Elba could do well with the character. It's that race, like many other physical attributes, is a major defining factor in human beings.
Fleming wrote Bond as a white British male and that's just who and what the character is. It's like I said, if they made Blade white would that feel right to you? It certainly wouldn't to me.
If we do black Bond, we might as well just go ahead and do a Jasmine Bond the next time around.
